Energeticky soběstačný dům pro lokalitu vesnice
Šimoník, Ladislav
The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine heat loss and energy demand of a particular family house in a village. The thesis is focused on finding technical measures to reduce the heat loss. The measures are assessed from the perspective of reconstruction of the house (additional insulation, replacing of windows) and from the perspective of technical equipment of the house (change of a heat source). According to the amount of a fuel per one heating season there were determined areas of agricultural and forest land needed to ensure the heating energy self-sufficiency. As a fuel, there was proposed firewood and straw pellets and it was compared with the alternative fuel, natural gas. Using of fuels from agricultural and forest lands is a suitable way to ensure the energy self-sufficiency of the house.
Effects of charcoal and wood fuel production on Ghana´s vegetation - A case study of Varimpere in the Wa West District
Osei, Priscilla
Unrestrained population growth especially in the developing countries, the necessity for existence as well as the desire for comfort are the major causes of environmental resources depletion in the world with particular reference to Ghana. One of the most exploited environmental resources in Ghana which is mostly not replaced is vegetation specifically trees. This paper aims to look into the effect of charcoal and wood fuel on Ghana's vegetation. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches were used in data collection and analysis. These methods include: questionnaire and interview. The findings show that charcoal and wood fuel is the means of revenue for the people of Varimpere village leading to desertification due to the source of domestic fire in use. Also other means of domestic fuel such as wind, solar, kerosene, electricity, coal and gas are not made available at affordable rates and therefore does not encourage the use of continuous and constant supply. Shea and Mahogany trees were the most preferred species due to the quality of charcoal and wood fuel products it produces. The findings also revealed that forestry services division whose role is to regulate the cutting of trees was not playing this role well due to inadequate personnel, logistics among others. The study concluded that measures of mitigating desertification such as afforestation and planting trees programs. Also some mitigation measures included creation of other jobs such formation of women groups to encourage the expansion of the Shea butter processing industry.
The analysis of European trade with fuelwood
Polének, Jiří
The object of this diploma thesis is the analysis of foreign trade with fuelwood between Member States of the European Union from 2008 to 2013. The analysis was aimed on finding and evaluation of import, export and trade balance of fuelwood. Consequently, results were commented and evaluated in the context of the RES strategies (National action plans). As a starting point of the thesis was set hypothesis: The EU Member States do not use in implementing the mandatory terms of the share of renewable energy sources only their biomass potential. The result and the trend of the trade balance are affected by the binding indicators.
Komplexní vyhodnocení výroby palivového dříví na manipulačním skladě Šárovcova Lhota
Maťátko, Pavel
The aim of this thesis was complex evaluation of production of fuelwood at conversion depot in Šárovcova Lhota. A description of the conversion depot and production lines is in this work, also produced assortment in terms of trees and productivity of production lines for the year 2014 are shown there. Real volumes of timber and volumes established by forestry tables are compared based on my own measurements. It is also evaluated the volume of timber entering to production and volume of timber after production. Finally, it is evaluated time consumption and labour productivity of the production line.
Analýza metod zjišťování objemu štípaného dříví
Skříčil, Václav
This thesis was composed for detection and verification available methods determination volume of chopped wood. The results individual methods were comparated out of point of view accuracy among themselves. The main was appraisal applicability individual methods in practice, on particular measurement. In this verification individual methods were found conversion numbers (coefficients) for chopping wood loose fill into a graduated container and conversion numbers for stacked chopping wood. Partial aim of this thesis was determine factors affecting size conversion numbers for loose fill chopping wood and subsequently these factors verified by measurement. This thesis was prepared at the school forest district Valšovice, on which is manufactured and sell chopping wood loose fill from a conveyor belt into a container or tractor tailer.
