Analytical model of composite cantilever with SMART layer
Dostal, Vojtěch ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Majer, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with analytical modelling of composite cantilever with smart layer. The structure is based on the real piezoelectric generator, which is a solid cantilever beam with a layer of piezoelectric material attached to its bottom and top. The first part of this bachelor's thesis summarizes the knowledge of the energy harvesting, the process under which harvesting of electric energy from the piezoelectric generator belongs. Some piezoelectric materials are mentioned and described afterwards. At first, analytical modelling is implemented on the homogeneous cantilever beam. Then, the relations for required characteristics are derived for laminate structure, which is structurally similar to the piezoelectric generator. One chosen parameter will be changeable. Due to the ties of relations, the required characteristics will change as well, which are for the piezoelectric generator strain and deflection.
Serviceability limit states - the use of different design approaches for a crack width calculation.
Puža, Martin ; Lyčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The theoretical part of theses focuses on assessment of crack width by calculation according to three different design approaches with subsequent comparison in parametric study. The work also includes a design and assessment of reinforced concrete girder of asymmetric variable cross-section by ČSN EN 1992-1-1 with corresponding drawing documentation.
Design of cast-in-place structure at family house
Bartoň, Jakub ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a desing of cast-in-place family house structures. The basis of the thesis is assesment of selected structures (ceiling, walls, foundation slab) by structural desing and subsequent proposal of necessary reinforcement of assessed structures. The outcome of the whole thesis are the drawings.
Design of pavement structures with the program ALIZE
Kašný, Michal ; Varaus, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of stress and strain burdened road construction. Comparison of dimensioning using programs LayEps and Alize and introduction modules of this program.
The research of cause of failure of concrete elements Face Block
Eger, Lukáš ; Husařík, Petr (referee) ; Dufka, Amos (advisor)
This master thesis focus on the analysis of effects that cause defects in concrete blocks. Experiences show that the defect of the blocks are often manifested in the form of cracks. Great rate of occurrence of defects is attributed to volume changes of poor quality concrete filler. The aim of this master thesis is to analyze the finding from the practical use and exploration of the requirements for the actual blocks and especially the concrete filler which is used to make monolithic structures built from these blocks. The attention will be paid to the interaction between the block and the concrete filler. Here we focus mainly on the volume changes caused by a change of moisture level and especially the cyclic moisture.
Determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge
Beran, Vojtěch ; Dokoupil, Pavel (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge. It is calculation of the pressure from the measured strain. The main purpose of this work is devise mathematical-technological models to determinate internal pipe pressure from longitudinal deformation. Devised models were used on data from realized experiment and results were compared with real value of pressures in pipes. This thesis contains three models which were mutually compared. Sensitivity analysis were done on two of these models. Thesis also contains opening research of strain gauge problematics. Description of basic knowledge of physical objects mechanic with focusing on shells also belongs to this theoretical part.
Detail analysis of complex connection in the structure
Hokeš, Filip ; Hradil,, Petr (referee) ; Kala, Jiří (advisor)
The main objective of the thesis is to find and describe dependence between load carying capacity of a pin connection and a pin hole drilling. The dependence will be made in according to standard ČSN EN 1993-1-8, by theoretical solution and finally by finite element method in the ANSYS system. The second objective of the thesis is focused on a verification of load test results by numerical methods. Numerical solution will be made up in two analysis with different types of finite elements. The most fiiting model will be used as a basis for description of the relationship between capacity and diameter of drilling.
Possibilities of the Tensile Test
Nevřivý, David ; Harant, Martin (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the possibilities of tensile testing, the parameters of the test specimens, testing machines and the equipment which can be used in this test. Based on the literature review, the thesis explains the test principle, the measurement process and the strain and stress characteristics detected by the test. The thesis then focuses on the test specimens, their geometry, the method of their sampling and gripping into the machine. When describing the machines and equipment used in tensile testing, the thesis explains the functionality of these and their different types. The work also covers special types of tensile tests, namely those using elevated temperature, high-speed deformation, and cyclic or multiaxial stress. The final part of the thesis examines the current trend of evaluating the tensile test using 3D optical measurement systems

Three dimensional force sensor
Černý, Hynek ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Houfek, Lubomír (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis dealt with the design of a force sensor, which was supposed to do measurements of forces in three axes independently. The another required output of the work was creation of drawings. The design and optimalization of shape and dimensions of the sensor was made mainly in program called ANSYS. An important part of the work was the expression of final relations for the calculation of forces both analytically using simple elastic strength and the numerical finite element method. The last part of the work was an experimental measurement, which was supposed to verify accuracy of both methods for forces expression and also correct functionality of the sensor.
