Protection of the built-up area of the municipality by the proposal of water management measures in the river basin
Majkus, Martin ; PhD, Ing František Pavlík, (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the important factors that determine the flood risk of the built-up area in the surveyed location. Also, it is necessary to assess the intensity of erosion treat to the soil and then propose comprehensive protective measures in the catchment areas of critical points and profiles, which will reduce these unfavourable values. The introductory part will summarize the existing knowledge and methods for determining the values of surface runoff and the degree of erosion risk. In the design part, surveyed locality analysis will be proved. Furthermore, the suitable water management measures will be proposed. The measures will ensure the protection of built-up area of the municipality and improvement of erosion conditions. For analysis of the area and for propose of measures were used ArcGIS-ArcMap and DesQ-MaxQ software. Obtained information was then processed in MS Excel and Word editors.
Revitalization of Jankovice stream
Mládek, Tomáš ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Jaroslav (advisor)
The final thesis is focused on assessing the current state of hydrological system in the watershed area Jankovice stream and on draft proposal of food protection measures of the village Jankovice. In the first part of the thesis, there is documented the current situation Jankovice stream, its appreciation and draft measures for a improvement the current state. In the following part, there is the elaboration of the sediment transport balance in the stream. In the last part of the final thesis, there is documented the current state Jankovice stream in the village Jankovice and the stream regulation is designed for the purpose of flood protection of the village.
Assessment of torrential flood susceptibility for chosen profile
Doleželová, Hana ; BBA, Šárka Zemanová, (referee) ; Kozel, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the course of flash floods in the Oslava and Oskava river basins. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to create a rainfall-runoff model, calibrate it on selected episodes and then evaluate it on validation episodes. Another goal was also to determine the probable behaviour during flash flood occurrence in the area. The model was created in the HEC-HMS program, in which the SCS Curve Number, SCS Unit Hydrograph and Lag methods were selected for the calculation. In the conclusion of the bachelor thesis, the developed model and the course of the simulated episodes are summarized. The suitability of the selected computational methods is also evaluated.

Hydrologické a hydraulické modelování jako podklad pro plánovací činnost obce – případová studie Lešany u Prostějova
Ulrich, Ondřej
The diploma thesis is focused on the use of software based on an open-source license to determine scale and extent of the flood risk of municipality with the possibility of use for municipality spatial planning activities. The diploma thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with issues related to flood wave, flood types, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, land use documents, land use planning documents and flood control measures of non-technical and technical character with local purpose. In the practical part an analysis of the Lešany u Prostějova territory was carried out for the identification of critical sites from the point of view of the flash floods. The critical sites, also called the critical points, were further analyzed for determination of the scale and extent of the flood risk. At the end of the practical part the used analyses and models for municipal self-government are evaluated. Also, an idealized design of flood control measures and measures for water retention in the landscape are presented. All outputs are presented as maps and included in the annex of the diploma thesis.
Analýza povodňového ohrožení obce Březník
Fidler, Martin
The bachelor thesis deals with analysis the flood threat of the village Březník, which belongs to the district of Třebíč, Vysočina region. Due to the frequent occurrence of flooding in the locality, problem spots have been picked and critical points determined. They have been identified on the basis of the digital model of terrain created in the GRASS GIS software. The problematic locations in the field extermination were introduced into the QGIS, in which maps describing the physical and geographical characteristics of the territory were created. The map documents were used for the processing of catalogues relating directly to a possible flood threat site. The HEC-HMS software was used to determine the flow rate with different repetition times and flood volume at critical points. The municipality flows through the Luh watercourse, where there are transversal objects that can be a potential risk, for example when introducing drifting material. Some of these objects appear to be deficient. Transversal objects located in the intravilan of the village were targeted in the field and subsequently printed in the AutoCAD projection software. The results from investigation of the trouble spots can serve for the draft of floodcontrol measures in the future.
