Predikace druhového složení těžeben na základě biotopového mapování okolní krajiny: využití charakteristických druhů vyšších rostlin
SLABA, Michal
The surrounding habitats play an important role in the spontaneous vegetation succession in disturbed sites. They serve as donor sites for species colonizing various post-mining sites from the close surrounding. This diploma thesis deals with the species composition in post-mining sites and the surrounding habitats up to the 1 km distance from the locality. The results indicate, that basalt quarries share the largest amount of species with their surrounding habitats. The studied methods have got limited capability to predict the species composition of post-mining sites using only the knowledge about habitat types occurred in the surrounding. On the other hand, species composition of the surrounding habitats, defined by a selection of the representative relevés of the Czech National Phytosociological Database (CNFD), seems to be more promising approach. It could provide more precise results applied in ecological restoration of post-mining sites in the Czech Republic.
Vliv těžby na krajinný ráz
Bezděková, Tereza
The topic of this Bachelor thesis is influence of quarry on landscape character. The theorethic part is focused on evaluation of landscape character and possibilities of recovery of the postquarry landscape, with focus on near-nature recovery in basalt quarry. The analytic part is focused to apply this obtained information on area of village Libochovany in Czech Central Mountains/České středohoří. Landscape character of the area was evaluated according to methodology Bukáček and Matějka (1999) and there was detected influence of quarry Libochovany. According to ideas of European Landscape Convention there was implemented survey of public opinion. There have been defined limits, values and problems of the area based on the results of the analytic part. Those results were important for design part. The design part is focused not only on recovery of attributes of the landscape character but also on a recreational use and on effective integration of quarry to surrounding landscape and to the life of local residents. Design is trying to achive this goal by near-nature recovery which uses controlled succession and by sowing the seeds of the plants from localitions near the quarry. Recreation progam is designed with respect for landscape character and natural conditions and is also focused on opening the quarry for the local residents.
Postindustrial sites in the Czech republic
Decheťová, Kristína ; Hendrychová, Markéta (advisor) ; Martin, Martin (referee)
Mining destroys ecosystems and creates degraded lands all over the Czech Republic. After mining are post-industrial sites created, which are likely to be an irreplaceable area for endangered plant and animal species. In the Czech Republic exist a lot of places, which are affected by mining and energetic industries. For these kinds of sites, early successional stages are characteristic. By the times that are not destroyed by technical restoration, these sites are later beginning a refuge for competitively weak species. Although researches in our country are highlighting the restoration ecology for a few decades like a suitable and cheap way to recovery, technical restorations are not decreasing. In the Jihočeský and Ústecký regions focused on sites, on which the mining was finished. These sites are going under succession and they are potentially suitable sites for many endangered species. Furthermore, in this work are outlines about active extractions presented, which were by raw mining material statistically evaluated from the size and their interference to SPA point of view within Czech Republic.
