Biology, occurrence and control of weeds in crops of root crops
CHODL, Tomáš
The aim of the present diploma thesis is to widen knowledge of the chemical regulation of weeds in row crops. To establish the effectiveness of herbicides, we set up a small lot at a carefully chosen spot in the potato-growing region near Strakonice. We conducted a comparison of the effects of three herbicide combinations on two potato varieties (Red Anna, Laura). Two combinations proved pre-emergent (Afalon 45 SC+Command 36 SC; Sencor 70 WG+Command 36 SC), one post-emergent (Titus 25 WG). Subsequently, we evaluated economic costs on weeds regulation and suggested preliminary measures to be taken.
Methods and means of weed control in organic farming systems
MACHKOVÁ, Božena
The aim of the Bachelor thesis was the guest appearance of weeds on arable land, laboratory verification of the ability of regeneration the rhizomes of couch-grass (Elytrigia repens L.), creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense L.) and an overview of the regulation of coarse plants on arable land in organic farming system. In the Bachelor's thesis is also described the biology and the possibility of regulation of the couch grass and pcháče rolního (osetu). The results of the monitoring are recorded in different graphs and tables.
The methods of regulation the Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv. on arable land
KOCEK, Václav
Weed infestation of the arable land by persistent weeds is serious problem today. Very dangerous species occuring in all crops, not just only on the arable land, is "Elytrigia repens". It's spread is connected with decrease the level of tillage and with reduction of agrotechnical measures. The target of my thesis is to broadening of knowledges and to suggest other possible solutions of regulation of the occurrence of "Elytrigia repens". SO we did an herbicidal attempt at "Triticum aestivum", which was focused on chemical regulation of this weed. There were used three herbicidal products in different variants. Using of herbicidal products reduces the occurrence of weed species.
Control of couch grass Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv. on agriculture land
Mikulka, Jan
This methodology includes the newest knowledge on biology, ecology, expansion and reproduction of couch grass including newest finding about methods integrated weed management. This methodology summarised influence of crop rotation, soil tillage, fertilisation and methods application of herbicides in field crops.

Mechanical and chemical control of perennial weed
ŠMÍDA, Petr
Perennial weed creeping thistle and couch-grass were controlled for tree year period in Prepychy village (Rychnov nad Kneznou district). Stubble breaking had cardinal effect on regeneration of hypogenous vegetative organs both wedd and endorsed their appearance. Following ploughing and ground reproduction before seeding didn´t control these weed. In chemical control section was tested an effectiveness of 22 herbicides. Creeping thistle showed the highest sensitivity against the majority of herbicides in growth phase F4 (stalk height 20 cm). Results of experiments showed an importance of application a.i. glyphosate in perennial weed control system. In winter wheat vegetation showed herbicides Husar and Lontrel 300 the highest effect against creeping thistle. Broad-leaved crops give a possibility to use graminicides against couch-grass. Graminicides Fusilade Forte 150 EC and Gallant Super shown the highest effect against couch-grass.
The control of weeds in maize stand
BÍLÁ, Alena
For processing my theses I chose an agricultural company Agroprofit Chotýčany s.r.o, that concentrate mostly on the production of maize silage for biogas power station. The firm has been using the non-tillage system of soil cultivation for a several years, which contributes to a higher occurrence of weeds in a soil. Therefore I tried to control the most significant weeds chemically (Tripleurospermum inodorum, Polygonum convolvulus, Echinochloa crus-galli, Amaranthus retroflexus, Chenopodium album, Cirsium arvense) in Zea mays. I was monitoring especially Elytrigia repens that is difficult to fight in the non-tillage system of soil cultivation. The experiment was being realised for two years. There were used 14 herbicide preparations and their combinations in 8 varieties at 4 hectares. The preparations were analysed considering their affect on weeds and economical viewpoint.
