Laboratorní test disasortativního párování u hraboše polního - literární rešerše
BÍLKOVÁ, Pavlína
Petrásková P. (2019): Laboratorní test disasortativního párování u hraboše polního - literární rešerše [Laboratory test of disassortative pairing in the common vole - literature search. Bc. Thesis in Czech]-49 pp. , Faculty of Sciences, University of South Bohemia, České Budějovice, Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to use the literature research to map current knowledge about the effect of odour preference on reproductive success in mammals focusing on voles. As assortative pairing is referred to each form of non-random pairing. Most of the time is meant a situation in which individuals who have similar phenotypes pair more often. The opposite is the situation where individuals with different phenotypes pair more often. This is sometimes referred to as negative assortative or disassortative pairing. In particular, this study deals with non-random pairing among to body odour . These are mainly linked to genes for the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) in animals, which play a key role in the immune system. MHC gene products found in various body secretions form the specific odour of each individual. In the research part were searched question for following questions: How is the breeding partner chosen? Is Assortative or Disassortative Pairing More Frequent? What information does body odour convey? What channels is the odour information transmitted and received? How is odour preference testing solved in laboratory conditions? In the practical part, a plan of the experiment is presented in which T-labyrinth will play the main role in determining the odour preference. Under laboratory conditions, voles will have plenty of time to complete the process
Circuits and matchings in graphs
Construction of Gray codes with special properties
Novotný, Tomáš ; Dvořák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Fink, Jiří (referee)
A (cyclic) Gray code is a (cyclic) sequence of all n-bit strings in which consecutive strings differ in a single bit. Ruskey and Savage in 1993 asked whether every matching in a hypercube can be extended to a cyclic Gray code. An affirmative answer is known for perfect matchings (Fink, 2007) while the ge- neral case is still open. The main contribution of this thesis is a generalization of Fink's result to Gray codes with prescribed ends. The characterization of perfect matchings extendable in this way is verified for n = 5 with the assistance of a com- puter, which is useful as a basis for the inductive proof of the general statement. The other part of the thesis is focused on smallest maximal matchings in hyper- cubes which could possibly form especially hard instances of the Ruskey-Savage problem. We devise a novel method which provides - in particular for small di- mensions - maximal matchings of smaller size than the classical asymptotically optimal construction (Forcade, 1973). An adjusted program from the first part is then applied to test the Ruskey-Savage problem over these matchings, however, the extending Gray code is always discovered. 1
CAT Tools in German - Czech Translation
Handšuhová, Jana ; Svoboda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Špirk, Jaroslav (referee)
Abstract This thesis handles special translation software, the mastery of which is becoming one of the basic requirements of successful translation work. The theoretical part describes the historical development, classification and main functions of translation memory systems. The thesis will further attempt to determine the criteria for the effective use of CAT tools and explore the text types and sorts for which the translation memory systems are most commonly used in the translation process. The functional view of the language-based text typology and the principles on which the translation memory systems work will also be handled. The practical part compares the result of a translation process (translation as a product) with and without CAT tools. The corpus of parallel texts (original translation) will be subjected to a translation analysis. This analysis concludes the levels which are affected by differences between translations made with and without CAT tools. The differences in the actual translation process with and without CAT tools which are not empirically verifiable will be analysed based on a survey conducted amongst translators. Then, the empirical part of the findings are summarized and systemized. The last chapter deals with the expected development in the translation market, the...

Phenotypic traits and pairing success of the Grey Partridge \kur{(Perdix perdix)}
BLAŽKOVÁ, Pavla
The master thesis works measures of phenotypic traits and unique data of pairing of wild living grey partridges. The secondary sexual traits and theirs variability is described. Especially the relationship between the ornamental traits and the pairing success was researched. The results proved the greater pairing success of males with the larger melanin breast patch and the greater quality of the mate in females with the larger breast patch. The strategy of male floaters, which are realatively well ornamented is discussed.
