	EU Operations as an Instrument of the Common Security and Defence Policy Nechanická, Barbora ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Sršeň, Radim (referee) The Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) noted a relatively fast progress during its eleven-year existence. Its main task is to deploy operations abroad. This bachelor thesis analyses their development emphasising the civilian operations. After the introductory general characteristic of CSDP the thesis deals with the tasks of the operations, military and civilian capabilities development and with the institutional framework including the changes brought about by the Lisbon Treaty. The practical aspects are examined by the case study of the police operations Proxima and EUPAT in Macedonia. Despite several shortcomings they can be evaluated as successful. The thesis argues that civilian operations are for the CSDP at least of the same importance as the military ones. Not only are they more numerous but also their ambitions are growing. 	Development of the European Security and Defence Identity (Perspectives of Cooperation between EU and NATO) Šibík, Milan ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Matějka, Zdeněk (referee) This master thesis deals with the topic of the European security and examines its development from the end of the Second World War. Single development stages are analyzed, with an increased attention paid to the Western European Union in the first part. Further the thesis explains the formation of the Common Foreign and Security policy, its development in particular primary documents on the EU, its major actors and tools and than the gradual emergence of the European security and defence policy. The recent EU operations are described as well. The entire thesis reflects the relations between the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty. Various legal, political and practical conflicts and difficulties arising from these relations are analyzed in detail. 	Současné problémy Evropské bezpečnostní a obranné politiky EU a její perspektivy Havlůj, Vladimír ; Matějka, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee) Práce se zabývá problematikou evropské bezpečnosti a zkoumá ji v kontextu vývoje od druhé světové války do současnosti. Vykresluje Evropskou bezpečnostní a obrannou politiku z pohledu přijatých dokumentů a dohod a analyzuje současné hrozby s důrazem na mezinárodní terorismus. Úspěch projektu společné evropské bezpečnosti dokazuje řada mezinárodních operací, které EU řídí. Budoucí perspektivy Evropské bezpečnostní a obranné politiky jsou odrazem vztahů s evropskými partnery jako např. NATO. Práce nastiňuje možný vývoj evropské bezpečnosti v souvislosti s aktuálními tématy, jako je např. otázka raketových základen nebo oživení Ústavní smlouvy a zmiňuje postoj České republiky k těmto tématům.
