Art aggression metaphor in the creation of children in the school age

This bachelor thesis is aimed at artistic metaphor of aggression in artwork of children in younger school age with aggressive behavior patterns. Research focuses on the fine arts production of children who attend private art school: Súkromná základná umelecká škola. The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part of this paper is divided into three chapters. First chapter includes various theoretical approaches to the concept of aggression. Second chapter concentrates on aggression of children in younger school age. It mentions its influences, types, forms and also differences of aggression demonstrations among boys and girls. Third chapter describes a way of aggression display in fine arts and includes basic arterapeutic theses and principles that are typical for the work with aggression. Practical part of this paper consists of observation and analysis of artworks of two boys in different age. The behavior of both children was perceived and described as aggressive. The main aim was to look for the metaphor of aggression in visual artwork of these children. The results are obtained on the basis of visual artistic symbolism and with use of predetermined criteria.
