Obnova lesa na kalamitních holinách VLS, s.p., divize Lipník nad Bečvou, LS Hlubočky
Provazníková, Pavla
The aim of the dissertation was to analyze the state of cultures in bare areas incurred by the withering away of spruce growth. The dissertation was undertaken on the properties of VLS ČR, s. p., in the economic forest unit of Hlubočky and Bores. The monitoring took place in 18 research areas which were afforested between the years 2007-2015, where 9 areas were afforested with Norway spruce and 9 with European beech. The height of the over ground part and the thickness of the root crown were measured and the presence of damage caused by wild game was evaluated. The monitoring for the purpose of establishing the state of the young spruce and beech growth took place in 10-15 year old growth areas where the trees per hectare, damage by wild game and the percentage of defoliation were evaluated. The third aim of this work was the framework evaluation of the afforestation costs and the care of the cultures according to data from forest management accounting. The monitoring of research areas afforested between the years 2007-2015 found that beech plants were more damaged by browsing than spruce plants. The monitoring of young spruce and beech growth established more damage of the young spruce plants by deer barking and browsing rather than the young beech plants, which are healthier. It was further discovered that the beech growth from natural renewal, which are thicker, are less damaged by wild animals. The evaluation of data from the forest management accounting established that the costs for one renewed hectare on average amount to CZK 64,000, the treatment of one hectare against forest weeds on average cost CZK 9,700 and the protection of one hectare against wild game expends on average CZK 3,470.
