The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the effects of hydrogen on the properties of materials and layers. The issue of hydrogen and its effect on the materials used is an increasingly relevant topic as time goes on. In order to understand the direct effects of hydrogen, it is imporant to monitor the nature of its transport in the material and the response of any protective measures. The paper describes the most commonly recognized mechnanisms of hydrogen degradation behavior with focus on metallic materials, especially alloys of iron, nickel aluminium, titanium and the others. The action of hydrogen is undesirable effect in most cases, so i tis important to pay attention to eliminating these effects.
