Concepts of Satire in the National Revival Literature
ŽAK, Pavel
The work aims to analyse and interpret the satirical output of the first half of the 19th century. Satire, being one of the oldest literary principles, presented a productive and preferred pattern applied to the National Revival?s literary pieces in varied ways. Each of these concepts followed its genre, used its method of communication with the reader and related specifically to the contemporary literary styles (Romanticism, Biedermeier style, Realism). The work deals with selected V. K. Klicpera?s plays, Literatura krkonošská written by F. L. Čelakovský, J. J. Langer?s Den v Kocourkově, Dosloví, a part of K. H. Mácha?s Křivoklad and K. Havlíček?s epigrams.
