Technological aspects of tools for wood machining
Brlica, Vlastimil ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Prokop, Jaroslav (advisor)
The fully fashioned master’s thesis within the frame of the master’s study at the Fakulty of mechanical engineering deals with subject woodworking tools. There are characteristics of wood and tool materials used for woodworking. There is an emphasis on milling cutter in each case of construction of selected woodworking tools. Whereas there is concrete proposal of milling cutter used for production of half round profile – half round concave cutter – at the end of the thesis.
Design of a large lathe for wood
Žaludek, Jan ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design of a large lathe for wood. In the beginning of this thesis is the history of woodworking, basic properties of wood, basics of machine turning, types of lathes, description of the construction of main lathe parts and market research of woodturning machines. Second part of this work deals with designing various solutions and selection of a specific one. Computations of main parts and the very design of the lathe are made. Part of this thesis is a 3D model made in Solidworks 2018.
Design of lathe for wood
Kuchař, Tomáš ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the construction of a wood lathe. In the thesis market research is carried out, on the basis of which the parameters of the lathe are proposed. Furthermore, it contains a theoretical description of wood machining, selection of the most suitable design for each structural node based on multi-criteria weighted selection, followed by the necessary calculations for the design of the wood lathe and at the end of the thesis the whole design is described in detail. Drawings of selected structural nodes are included in this work.
Vliv vlhkosti na velikost řezné síly při obrábění nativního dřeva
Skokan, Vojtěch
This bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of water content in wood on the energy parameters of oak wood machining. The main parameters under research were cutting force and specific cutting resistance. The results of experimental measurement of these parameters were compared with the results of theoretical calculation methods, Technological-statistical and Analytical methods. The results and statistical tests carried out determined the effect of moisture on the size of the cutting force and specific cutting resistance. In conclusion, the values of the cutting force increase with increasing humidity to FSP, and as humidity increases above FSP, the values decrease. The specific cutting resistance increased to FSP as the moisture of the patterns under viewed increased and decreased as humidity increased further above this limit.

Optimalizace parametrů obrábění materiálů na bázi dřeva
Šebelová, Eva
The work is focused on the optimization of cutting conditions for wood-based materials machining where the cutting conditions are thus selected to ensure the most efficient machining of the product. Cutting conditions parameters evaluation is based on experimental assessment of interaction between the cutting tool and machined material using a variable cutting parameters. However, experiments needed to obtain a sufficient amount of data are very time consuming, expensive and material consuming as well. It is necessary to consider life-time of the cutting tool, as well as the type of material and its suitability for machining and then to determine the optimal cutting conditions. The aim of this work was to create a new approach for efficient machining. It is based on the methodical procedure of the optimal cutting conditions determination for wood-based materials using knowledge about their properties in relation to the machining process.
