Stress-strain analysis of a crane arm
Mora, Lukáš ; Halabuk, Dávid (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The content of this bachelor’s work is a summarization of types of tower cranes and subsequent stress-strain analysis of the crane arm of the crane type 150EC-B8 Litronic located on the Šumavská street in Brno. Analytical stress-strain analysis is calculated with equations of equilibrium using joint method in various types of loading of the construction with MAPLE software. Numerical calculation is executed on 3D model of the construction in software ANSYS. The aim of this bachelor work is the verification of the correctness and comparison results of analytic calculation with numeric calculation and evaluation of the results from a limit states and deformation standpoint.
Special low-power induction motors.
Belica, Andrej ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Master thesis deals with design and construction of the most widely used engines currently. Overall, it is divided into five chapters, the first chapter deals with constructional features of various three-phase asynchronous motors, the second chapter briefly paid attention to single-phase motors. The next chapter focuses on the specific engine types, which differ from standard induction motors in its design implementation. This is an engine with full rotor, hysteresis, linear and with shaded field. Although asynchronous motors are considered the most reliable machines work in imperfect conditions, it leads to frequent breakdowns. This is covered in chapter four. Based on the findings from previous chapters the fifth chapter includes a preliminary draft of the asynchronous motor with a full rotor. The last chapter is devoted to the measurement on functional models.
Analysis of performance of embankment constructed on subsoil improved by vertical drains
Kováč, Vladimír ; Miča, Lumír (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The thesis deals with the back analysis of the instrumentated embankment on the subsoil, improved by prefabricated vertical drains. The first part is devoted to the theory of consolidation calculation. Furthermore, the author deals with a parametric study of the analytical calculation of prefabricated drains and the comparsion of the analytical and numerical solution. The last and the largest part of the work is a back analysis of the embankment which was built as a part of the subsoil improvement near the Suez Canal in Egypt by Keller GmbH.
Shaft spillway water tunnel capacity increasing
Monsport, Jakub ; Jobánek, Stanislav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
In the first part of this diploma thesis, the problem of supercritical flow is described, as what phenomena occur during it and what dangers it brings. The research part continues with a list of structures in the supercritical regime and their modifications, which should eliminate the danger occurring during supercritical flow. The second part of the diploma thesis is practical and presents the measurement of the course of the water level in the tunnel of the shaft overflow on a physical model with different modifications of the initial section of the tunnel due to the search for the most suitable modification, which would ensure a sufficient reduction of dangerous phenomena occurring during supercritical flow. As part of the practical part, in addition to measurements on the physical model, calculations in numerical modelling were also performed using the Flow-3D program.
