ČERVENÁ, Simona
The bachelor's thesis "Plants for no shampoo (no poo) hair washing" focuses on the composition of the Czech and Ayurvedic no-poo mixtures and analyses their botanical and ecological characteristics by individual plant species. The latter part of the thesis evaluates the respondents' experience by using a quantitative research method - a survey. The domestic market includes 15 no-poo mixtures from 49 plant species, from which 34 were Czech and 15 were Ayurvedic. The most used plant species for hair washing on the Czech market were these Ayurvedic species: Acacia concinna, Emblica officinalis, Sapindus mukorossi, Aloe barbadensis, Trigonella foenum-graecum, Eclipta prostrata. The Czech plant species include: Glycyrrhiza glabra, Arctium lappa, Althaea officinalis, Urtica dioica, Saponaria officinalis, Achillea millefolium. Those plant species are taxonomically varied, with differing habitat areas, biotope preferences and life forms. They are appropriate for hair care, solving problems regarding hair care and are ecologically sustainable.
