Opportunities to support parental competences for underaged mothers

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of supporting parental competences for underage mothers. It introduces the period of adolescence in girls, the issues of early pregnancy and early motherhood, and together with the practical part, it deals with the importance of parental competences and their strengthening in the context of social work. The aim of the final thesis is to describe the difficult situation of girls who became mothers at a minor age, and further to find out and describe whether, to what extent and in what way the parental competences of minor mothers were or are being supported in the home environment. To achieve the results, a qualitative research strategy was chosen using a semi- structured interview that was conducted with five minor mothers. The conducted investigation points out that the interviewed girls who decided to raise their child at home were not offered or provided any support for parental competences by experts. Due to the seriousness and complexity of the situation of early motherhood, the results of the survey should lead to some reflection on the involvement of helping professions and to further research and finding out how to make the difficult life situation easier for underage mothers.

Spiritual assessment in social work with minor mothers in a residential-educational institution

This work is focusing on spirituality of juvenile mothers of Roma ethnicity placed in institutional care. In part one the work defines the terms: spirituality, spiritual assessment and it's process, social work, social worker generally in the context of spiritual assessment. Further on it's focusing on the subject of the Roma culture, their traditions and specifics and alternative religiosity of the Roma ethnicity. The empiric part describes the characteristics of one particular facility delivering institutional care and the specifics of juvenile mothers admitted into this facility. It describes the individual young women's constructs of spirituality, the effort to understand and assess if in this context spirituality is beneficial or an obstacle in solving the young women's difficult life circumstances in collaboration with a social worker. The methods used in the research section are: document collection and analysis, interview, questioning and observation.

Motivace k dokončení studia - matky v nezletilém věku

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of minors and minors of pregnant girls with ordered institutional care and their motivation to complete their studies. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe and define constitutional education in the Czech Republic based on expert sources. To define the notion of motivation in connection with under-age mothers and pregnant girls. To further describe secondary vocational schools in educational institutions and to characterize the care of minors in the Czech Republic. The material for the theoretical part is pro-fessional printed and electronic resources. In the practical part of my work, my attention focuses on specific mothers in a specific facility. The aim of the practical part is to investigate the life stories of the girls and the impact on their motivation to complete the study in the educational establishment. In order to find out the necessary information, the analysis of doc-trines and methods of polling, namely semi-structured resolution techniques, was used. The semi-structured interview was submitted to three mothers at the age of 18, who became pregnant at the time of their minority. Based on the survey results, recommendations for pedagogical practice will be developed.

Family (Living) context of a minor Roma mother with institutional education

This Bachelor thesis Family background of a juvenile Roma mother with an institutional treatment discusses a topic of juvenile mothers in institutional facilities, institutional treatment, and dysfunctional families. The theoretical part generally deals with definitions of terms, issues of families and family's socialization, issues of problematic, dysfunctional, and clinical families. Marginally, the study covers a topic of facilities for institutional treatment. In the empirical part, the thesis aims to demonstrate a story of an underage mother with an ordered institutional treatment. It also describes inner insights to the families' backgrounds in which the juveniles have been becoming mothers. Furthermore, this part focuses on outlining how the underage girls cope with their new role of being mothers and illustrating institutional facilities which were given custodies of the juvenile mothers.

The System of Care for Teenage Mothers in the Capital City of Prague

The objective of my thesis, titled "System of care of teenage mothers in the territory of the capital city of Prague", was to clarify the system of assistance available to this target group in the defined location. On the basis of theoretical findings related to adolescence, pregnancy and adolescent pregnancy, I outlined this phenomenon, presented the facilities and services for underage mothers and then I focused on the investigation of the system of assistance available to teenage mothers in Prague. The results of the research prove that adolescent pregnancy is not a unique phenomenon in Prague, because some facilities recorded even more than ten contacts with the target group of underage mothers in a year. The list of found facilities and services offering assistance to underage mothers was included in the created map called "Facilities and services providing assistance to teenage mothers in Prague". The map is freely accessible through Google web browser in Google Maps application.

Abstract In my bachelor's thesis I focused on the problems of pregnancy of secondary school students. In the first section, using specialized literature, I defined the con-cept of adolescence from the perspective of developmental psychology, described the development of partner relationships, and early romantic and sex experiences of teenagers. I also defined the concept of pregnancy and associated health risks, both for teenage mothers and the unborn child. Furthermore I characterized the concept of parenting and mapped the development of teenage pregnancy in the Czech Republic, analyzed the impact of pregnancy on adolescent girls and their personal life, family and other social relationships. The method used for the prepa-ration of the theoretical section was studying specialized sources and their further use, such as making excerpts and their analysis, synthesis and comparison. In the second practical section I concentrated on mothers who were pregnant during their studies of a secondary school, and documented their views on the arisen situation. At the same time I mapped the level of aid which the secondary school was able to offer. The method of case study was used. Semi-structure inter-views were used as a tool for data collection. The respondents were two women who were pregnant while attending a secondary school. The result is a comparison of the aid provided by two secondary schools. The recommendation for pedagogi-cal practice is to focus on the prevention of pregnancy as part of sex education not only in secondary schools, but already in elementary schools, as well as the ap-proach of secondary schools to the problem of a pregnant student.

Care about the under-age mothers in the diagnostic institution.

This bachelor thesis deals with the care about the under age mothers in the diagnostic institutions. The thesis is divide on four chapters. First chapter describe under age mothers from the point of view of the legislation and the development psychology. Also deals with the premature sexuality. As well as delimits institutional care, its purpose and role. There is described risks of the institutional care, for example hospitalism. The main of the bachelor thesis describes the care about under- age mothers in the diagnostic institution in Černovice and is mainly focused on education and maternity preparation. The last chapter contains individual cases.
