The rearing of calves represents the most demanding age group of cattle in terms of zootechnical, economic, and time-related aspects. The goal of every breeder should be to ensure adequate conditions for calf rearing, as proper conditions in calf rearing are important not only for the welfare and health of the calves themselves but also have a significant impact on the subsequent productivity, performance, and health of dairy cows. Good care for calves and their health is also crucial for maximizing their genetic potential and passing on these traits to future generations. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to examine calf rearing in a selected agricultural enterprise and compare rearing practices with established standards. Data was processed for the period 2021-2023. All procedures carried out in the agricultural cooperative were compared with calf rearing standards, and measures were proposed that could improve the health status and calf rearing in the enterprise.
