The subject of this bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the financial situation of the agricultural company VOD Zdislavice using the application of methods of financial analysis for the period 2014-2018 in comparison with a sample of agricultural companies. The main sources of information are the basic financial statements - the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement. The methodological procedure uses elementary methods, in which the analysis of absolute ratios, difference analysis, ratio analysis and finally the analysis of systems of indicators can be incorporated. Furthermore, the decomposition of return on equity using the Du Pont diagram and the evaluation of financial risk using bankruptcy and solvency models are used. The final result of all performed analyses is an absolute number, which in comparison with the sample of the company or determination of the ideal value represents unique information about the current situation of the analysed company. The calculated results present an unfavorable prediction not only for the analysed period, but also for the coming years. The company has a longtime disability to pay its liabilities to creditors, which is reflected in lack of funds. The effect of climate change and the variable human factor of the company also did not benefit, the company tried to compensate for any disadvantages with subsidies. I find efficiency in reducing costs, which are increased by the number of employees whose work has not always been used.
