Design of storage tank

The master thesis deals with design of storage tank for nitric acid. The first chapter introduces the problems of design, manufacture and operation of the storage tanks. The next section describes design calculation of storage tank according to standard EN 14015. Control of design calculation is performed by analysis FEM in program ANSYS Workbench 16.2. Thesis also includes basic drawing of storage tank.
Design caclulation of fatigue of tubular condenser

The diploma thesis is devoted to the design of the fatigue calculation of the tubular steam condenser with fixed tube sheets, which is in operation as a safety equipment for the steam condenser from the turbine. This device is loaded with temperature and pressure that induces tension. Due to the possibility of frequently starting it up to the operational state and going down to the rest state, stress cycles can occur. The practical part of the thesis is the design calculation, carried out according to ČSN EN 13445–3 standards using the finite element method, abbreviated FEM. The theoretical part of the diploma includes a search of available standards for evaluating the fatigue life of heat exchangers, basic knowledge regarding the issue of fatigue damage and cases of real fatigue damage in practice.

Alternative designs for removable connection with cover and housing of airbox

The aim of this thesis is to description and comparison of solutions, demountable connection of the lid and box enclosure air filters for motor vehicles, developed and used by the manufacturing concern MANN + HUMMEL, for which air filtration only one part of a broad portfolio of filtration systems for the automotive industry in the world scale. Another part of this thesis will be one of the chosen optimization methods of connection and implementation of alternative proposals design solutions, including the selection of the best solution, creating design calculation, 3D design, FEA analysis and prototyping of an alternative connection method laser sintering. When creating the optimization and design of alternative design solutions can count on the possibility that existing solutions are taking all possible factors and that the best alternative design proposals show an improvement over existing at the expense of all other cells throughout the development of the product.
