This bachelor thesis deals with the traffic entry areas of Beroun. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical overview and design. The theoretical part starts with description of towns traffic entry areas in general, then focus moves to town of Beroun itself. The work describes the types of traffic entry areas, their historical development and important features, you can find here also examples of some successful executions, both international and Czech. The last part of theoretical overview is dedicated to Beroun and its traffic entry areas. In the design part of this bachelor thesis there is a large model area of bus and train terminal accompanied with a thorough analysis of the current situation. The final architectural proposal is based on both theoretical and analytical studies. The whole area is dealt from a perspective of concept, detailed study elaborates the space in front of the train station. The proposal aims to better exploit the potential traffic entry areas as a representative point of entry into the town of Beroun.

Bachelor thesis deals with the boarding areas of cities. It is written in literature section on this topic. Literary part includes a historical overview of the development of cities and describes solutions to cities at different times. Below are the main types of entry areas in the city and for each type is given an example of existing solutions. View and approaches to solving the city is described by four prominent authors: Jan Gehl - city for people, Christian Norberg Schultz - genius loci, Camillo Sitte - artistic principles of creation and Kevin Lynch - the city's image. From their perspective, the city is based on inspiring conclusions from which I come for the next part of this work , which deals with the model territory - the city of Poděbrady and defining theirs entry areas . Of these, we selected two examples in which are processed architectural study.
