Wallachian folklore music in Music education 2nd grade Elementary School

This diploma thesis discusses options of using Wallachian musical folklore in the education for the 2nd grade class at an elementary school. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretic information about the Wallachian region in general. It includes facts about folklore, delineation of boundaries, the origin of this region as well as typical costumes and folk architecture. The author focuses on distinctive folk songs, typical musical instruments and dances typical for the Wallachian region. The second part introduces folk collectors, important people and current folk events in this region. The research part examines the relationship and knowledge of the musical folklore and the pupils of the 2nd grade. The author uses a questionnaire method of research. After that, the practical part of this thesis offers a suggestion for Wallachian folklore to become a part of these music classes. From Variability to Creativity: on the emergence of new folk songs in Moravia and Silesia in the second half of the 20th century

The autor comments on the proces of the creation of new folk songs: in specialised literature, such a process is called the utmost form of variation changes. Field research documents several types of variations, such as from random changes to regular changes, changes in the completion of song parts (such as new stanzas), the creation of lyrics or composing the melody, up to creating a completely new song.

The Bachelor{\crq}s work, The elements of the documented Folklore in the contemporary cultural Live of the village Blatnice pod Sv. Antoninkem and their current position in the village culture, is trying to document all available materials for mapping especially musical and song folklore and folkloristic movement in the village of Blatnice pod Sv. Antonínkem. Acquired material, mainly from Ethnological Institution ČSAV,v.v.i. in Brno and from National Institution of Folklore Culture in Strážnice, is confront with living contemporary tradition, focusing partly on its variational process. Readers are acquainted with history of village and there is offered detailed list of collectors of folklore songs and folklore prose reacting in this area. The following chapters are about functional division of folklore songs and usages during singing these songs, which are connected with significant pilgrimage place on a hill of Sv. Antonín, with wedding ceremony and with songs for dances. In the end of the work are summarized all findings and possibilities of its use for next studies.
