The Proposal of the Municipality Economy Improvement in Kurim

The bachelor work focuses on the analysis of the economy of a municipality in 2005-2009. Based on the theoretical background, it describes the operation of the municipality and the function of the municipal council of the town of Kuřim. It examines the sources of municipal revenues, their distribution and amount. Then, it looks at the municipal expenditures and compares them with other municipalities. Finally, the work contains some selected proposals for improving the economy of the municipality.

Elected representatives in municipal elections (case study of Kolín district) Abstract This thesis deals with the theme of municipal elections, specifically analysing the final positions of candidates and the elected mayors emerged from the vote in the municipal elections in 2014 according to the size of the groups of municipalities, using the district of Kolín as an example. Author focuses particularly on the candidature to the municipal councils and related electoral participation. The characteristics of elected representatives were also examined. Two hypotheses were proposed - H1: the competitiveness of elections increases with the increasing size of the municipality and H2: voter turnout is related to interest in the candidacy (number of candidates for the mandate). The thesis uses data available from the Czech Statistical Office and BISNODE company. The results show that the mayors were usually found on top of the candidate list and came from the winning party. Compared with the national average, larger amount of mayors upheld their position. Furthermore, it was found that voter turnout is not related so much to the number of candidates for a number of mandates, rather it is related to the number of candidates for a council to the number of inhabitants. Preparedness of the selected area to participate in implementation of the tasks of civil protection during the release of hazardous chemicals.

This diploma thesis and its research deals with the preparedness of the population, pedagogues and representatives of municipal council, to participate in tasks of population protection during the leak of dangerous chemical substances. The work develops research from my Bachelor thesis from 2017, where was my task to verify preparedness of the integrated rescue system to deal with the leak of dangerous chemical substances. The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out, if is the selected area able to adequately respond to hazards arising from the leak of hazardous chemical substances. In order to assess preparedness, slightly different questionnaires were used, those questionnaires were answered by the residents of České Budějovice, teachers working at secondary schools in České Budějovice and representatives of the city and representatives of the South Bohemian Region. The results of the questionnaire survey are presented using descriptive statistics, interesting results are shown using graphs. A high degree of unpreparedness of respondents was found. According to the results of the questionnaire survey, some respondents may also behave dangerously in the events of leakage of hazardous chemicals. The contribution of this work should be increasing and improving awareness in this area. To this purpose, was created an information leaflet containing lot of important information, which was distributed to the population. The benefit which this work has already brought, is to alert representatives from city and region councils, as well as teaching staff, to improve their knowledge of hazardous substances. According to the feedback of several representatives, analyzes focusing the transport of dangerous substances can be expected in the near future. This work can be used as well as a source of information and can be used to compare it with other researches.

Coalition Relations in the chosen Town (Vlašim)

This diploma thesis provides a complete information about local politics in the town of Vlašim. Theoretical basis is primary focused on the theory of coalitions and its typology. Then characterizes socio - economic indicators of the municipality, which have the main effects on the local political system. Further, it describes election periods from the year of 2002 to 2010. This part is important to know all contexts that have influenced today's composition of coalition and in fact the whole situation in the city council. The last chapter applies the theory of coalition at the local level. For the correct interpretation and understanding of the formation of coalitions in Vlašim it is fundamental to detect the local specificities such as motivation of creating partnership between the parties, relationships between councilors etc. Now it is possible to understand the local political scene and subsequently the principles of local coalitions.

Budget Observance in the Particular Conditions of the City District Prague 14

This Bachelor Thesis deals, in general, with local government units, incomes and expenses of municipality and then analyzes, in detail, the situation in City District of Prague 13. All the incomes, expenses, means of financing and the economic situation during period between 2007 -- 2009 are thoroughly inspected. This paper also outlines the issues behind European Union funds, through which City District draws assets for their own projects.
