Multimodal spatial coregistration in MRI data of prostate

Most of the current medical image processing toolboxes support several modalities, data types and they offer a plethora of functions, however, they are often specialized on brain image analysis. The subject of this work is an overview of current techniques used in 3D MRI image coregistration and their adoption for prostate examination. The goal is a rapid high-quality coregistration method of T2 morphologic images with emphasis on the experimental T2 sequence, which could be used in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
