Fuels in 21. century
Lébl, Jan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is intent on introducing the overview of particular types of fuels used at present for ignition and diesel internal combustion engines. Marginally is mentioned the theme of fuels used for fuel cells. Further it deals with the composition of each fuel types and their characteristics and ecological aspects of their use. The ending of the thesis is aimed to formulation of the development trends in fuels and the prospects of each fuel type’s expansion in the future.
Two-fuel systems of CI engines
Malinský, Marek ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this project is to point out the significance of binary-fuel compression-ignition engines and alternative fuels. It introduces comparison of bio fuels and its influence on the function of the engine, and ecological load. It especially raises bio oil as an alternative fuel for compression-ignition engines. Advantages and disadvantages of bio fuels, most common defects and their consequences, and development trends are also mentioned.
Possibilities of Present Automobile Fuels Substitution
Doležal, Lukáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with contemporary fuels and their substitutes . The first part summarises properties and future of crude oil and today commonly and mostly used fuels that are made from oil. These are mainly petrol and diesel oil. The second part is focused on alternative fuels such as LPG, natural gas, bio-fuel and hydrogen. Each subchapter summarises the most important characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. The third part deals with electric energy used as a substitute . This chapter is divided into three subchapters, namely electromobiles, fuel cells and hybrid vehicles. The individual subchapters again summarise the most important information, above all advantages and disadvantages. In the conclusion, emulsive oil is also mentioned.
Základní fyzikální vlastnosti motorové nafty
Pištělka, Ondřej
In this bachelor's thesis, the substance known as diesel fuel is thoroughly described, and so are its physical properties. The history of diesel fuel, origin of crude oil and its mining and processing is described in first chapters. Afterwards, the diesel fuel is categorized and the categories are defined. An entire chapter is dedicated to diesel additives and biodiesel. In a review of relevant litarature, a chapter adressing current quality requirements of diesel fuel is found. Manipulation and transportation of diesel fuel is also adressed. The practical part consist of a characterization of tested fuel samples, a description of used equipment and methodics used in analyzing the captured data. The results are compiled into an table, which is easy to comprehend. The thesis is closed by discus-sion and analysis of those results.
Analýza technických parametrů vznětových spalovacích motorů
Káňa, Jiří
The diploma thesis "Analysis of technical parameters of compression ignition engines" deals with the current concept of diesel engine construction. The introduction introduces the development of a diesel engine to the present. Furthermore, it discusses the current state of the engine design and its problems, there are presented the technical parameters of the selected set of diesel engines. The technical parameters are tabular, there is a graphical and computational analysis. The final stage of the work is to discuss and conclude on the topic of diesel combustion engines.
Vliv spalování paliva CNG na produkci výfukových emisí motoru osobního automobilu
Kosík, Tomáš
The diploma thesis focuses on the influence of combustion of CNG fuel and the production of exhaust emissions at a passenger car engine. At the beginning of the thesis are presented the possibilities of using fuel in vehicles. Then there will be described the CNG fuel itself, its advantages and disadvantages and there will be comparison with petroleum-based fuels. Next will be described necessary modifications of the engines and modifications of the related systems to make combusting of CNG possible, also summarize the theoretical knowledge of the possible effects on the output ecological parameters of the engines. These theoretical knowledges were verified by measuring the actual emission parameters of the engine of a real vehicles Skoda Octavia III Diesel and G-TEC. At the end of this thesis are measured values evaluated. Evaluation confirmed, that vehicles, which uses as fuel CNG, reaches lower emission than vehicles that are using convention oil-based fuels.
Fyzikální vlastnosti kapalných paliv a biopaliv pro vznětové motory
Dřevojan, Martin
The theoretical part of the thesis: Physical properties of liquid fuels and bio diesel for combustion engines is aimed at describing the physical properties of fuels and ra-peseed oil methyl ester. It includes familiarization with the issue of dynamic viscosity and density of internal combustion engines and a comprehensive overview of methods of measuring these quantities . Experimental work is devoted to experimental measurement of the temperature de-pendence of the dynamic viscosity and density of selected diesel samples with different concentrations of rapeseed oil methyl ester. The measurement results were processed into tables containing diagrams .
