HAMROVÁ, Alena
This bachelor thesis deals with motivation of workers in social services. The theoretical part is divided into three areas which always define the specific focus of motivation and through this division focuses on the general motivation, motivation in the working environment, which mainly interferes in the field of management, the needs of employees and motivation in social services. The practical part, which is devoted to specific motivation of workers, is based on the findings of the theoretical one. Within the quantitative research survey a questionnaire was created for workers in social services and social workers. It was answered by the employees of the Center for Social Services in Jindřichův Hradec which includes seniors' homes, sheltered housing, day and weekly care centers and a home for people with disabilities. Thanks to the data that the research shows, the main motives of direct care workers and workers whose work is mostly of an administrative nature were mapped and compared. The questionnaire also focused on the burnout syndrome and the helper syndrome which negatively affect the motivation and overall work performance of people in helping professions.
