The Street Name terminology in the town of Sušice
ŽEŽULOVÁ, Magdalena
The topic of my diploma thesis is the toponomastics of the street names in the southwest Bohemian town of Sušice. The aim is to analyze the development and motivation of naming the streets and squares of Sušice. Using the relevant archives, professional literature and journalistic material, I recorded the current and extinct names of the streets, their naming motivation and etymology. In addition to the mentioned sources, I applied the exploratory method, which took place in the form of interviews with local residents. Street names are arranged according to the town districts so that they follow each other logically. The information obtained is summarized in the conclusion.
