The Motherhood in higher age

The bachelor thesis deals with maternity in higher age. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines terms like family, children upbringing and phenomenon of late maternity and its reasons. It is also about development of maternal age and parenting trends. The practical part shows experiences of mothers, who gave birth to the first child after 37 years. The aim of the thesis is to describe reasons for postponement of motherhood, first experience with motherhood, view on timing of motherhood. It has been found that a suitable partner, career and material security is important for women to set up a family. With regard the timing of motherhood, it turned out that women would wish to have a child earlier.
