How Parents prepare for school with children
VELHARTICKÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis is focused on the child's home preparation for school at the first stage of primary school, while the child's home preparation is explored from the mother's perspective. Research attention is focused mainly on the process of home preparation for school and what mothers experience during the process. A complementary area of interest is communication between the family and the school, specifically it was monitored how often, in what ways and with what content the school and the family communicate with each other. The practical part is devoted to qualitative research and the main method of data collection is an in-depth semi-structured interview. The practical part consists of three case studies which explore the subjective reality of the process of home preparation for school, how mothers experience it and what the contact between family and school looks like.
