Monitoring the quality of life of people in sedentary jobs

The goal of the thesis is quality of life monitoring of examined set of people working in sedentary jobs in the age range of 20-60 years. Examined set consists of 100 people (79 female, 21 male). During the monitoring a questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF (WHO,1995) was used, which consists of 26 questions - 2 separate questions and 24 questions which are further separated into 4 domains - Physical health, Psychological health, Social relationships, Environmental health. Acquired data represents respondent's subjective view of quality of life. The thesis is theoretically substantiated by specialized literature and commonly available sources which are focused on the terms such as quality of life, sedentary jobs and health. Practical goal was to evaluate and to interpret the results of the WHOQOL-BREF (WHO, 1995) questionnaire. Evaluation and interpretation of the results is followed by discussion. The lowest value of the transformed score was measured in the area of the environment, while the area of social relations was placed on the 1st place. The mean values of the measured transformed scores for each area were as follows: 71.85 for Physical Health; 71.12 for the area of Experiencing; 72.73 for Social Relations; 69.37 for Environment.
