Miter - more than Just Clothing in Canon and Secular Law
Lojek, Antonín
The author in his article points out the fact that miter is not just a garment or a piece of clothing but it was also understood as insignia, i.e. a sign of rank, representing the power of secular and ecclesiastical persons. Miter represented the legitimate right of certain persons to perform certain functions and also indicated their social status.
