Deformation of surface ground induced by process of inundation of worked-out areas after termination of underground mining exploitation
Hortvík, Karel
The liquidation of mine exploiting is accompanied by termination of mine water pumping. The inundation of space formations, which were dewatered during mining of deposit due to technological reasons, will provoke disturbing of the existing stress-strain conditions in rock massif, which hitherto have been in an equilibrium state. By acting of upward hydrostatic pressure of ground water on rock massif a relieving of existing stress condition will occur by which the deformation changes in rock massif would be induced. These changes will be manifested depending on magnitude of anthropogenic disturbance of rock massif and on scope of inundation also in surface ground in form of its upheaval.
The using of longperiod levelling measurement on surface of the underground exploited uranium deposit for mathematical modelling and prognosis of surface grount subsidence
Hortvík, Karel
In connection with long-term surveying observations a newly conceived mechanism of genesis of subsidence depression above uranium deposit of Rozna has been described. Based on it a geomechanical model of deposit situation is elaborated which then enables by means of mathematical modelling of surface subsidence development to predict development of subsidence depression both in stage of deposit mining and in period after termination of mining work. The research according to expectation shall contribute generally to deeper conceiving of methodology of evaluation of earth surface movements after termination of mining for ore vein deposits exploited by underground method at similar conditions.
