Design of self-sensing compliant mechanism
Dimcenco, Vadim ; Slabý, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with the creation and analysis of a compliant mechanism using 3D printing. The first part of this work is dedicated to an overview and description of basic methods for designing compliant mechanisms. The following chapters focus on the analysis of the chosen rigid mechanism and the design of the compliant geometry. The analysis was carried out using MATLAB/Simulink and ANSYS tools. The next chapter of this thesis describes the components used, the control process by the final assembly and the mechanism printed. The results indicate the difference between rigid and compliant mechanisms, as well as the trends in measured and calculated data at different states of the mechanism. The results can be used to improve the mechanism and demonstrate the possibility of implementing MFC sensors as an independent component of the system.
