Diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of timber structures
Nguyen, Martin ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on description and evaluation of selected diagnostic methods used for a survey of timber structures. The first part describes the structure and properties of wood, damaged by external factors and protection. Another part provides a description of non-destructive, semi-destructive and destructive methods of diagnosis. The practical part applies the selected diagnostical methods on specific particular element of a wooden construction. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to become familiar with the survey proces timber elements, verification and their application in practice.
The influence of the change of moisture content of timber on its physical-mechanical properties
Sloupenský, David ; Stehlík, Michal (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with finding of physical and mechanical properties of timber at various moistures and it also verifies addictions of single properties on moisture content of timber. In experimental part of this thesis, the density, the dimensional and volumetric swelling and the compressive strength parallel to fibre will be determined on test samples. After evaluating all the tests, the graphs of these parameters depended on various samples of wood moisture determined by weight will be created.
Diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of a timber structure
Balas, Ondřej ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the description and evaluation of selected diagnostic methods used for a survey of timber structures in the field. The first part of the thesis describes a structure and characteristics of wood; the other part provides a description of diagnostic methods followed by determination a level of injury and verification material characteristics of the particular element in the timber structure. The main aim of the thesis is to compare the diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of timber structures and verification of their application in practice.
The influence of the change of moisture content of timber on its physical-mechanical properties
Novák, Jakub ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the physical and mechanical properties of spruce wood at different humidity and verifies the individual properties, depending on the humidity of the wood. The theoretical part of this work is focused on the description and characteristics of the general characteristics and structure of wood. The practical part deals with the testing and measuring of wood samples at different moisture and evaluate the physical and mechanical properties. Finally, static calculation verifies difference resistance of structural members stressed bend at different humidities.
Diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of a timber structure
Rusz, David ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This thesis is focused on implementation and subsequent evaluation of selected diagnostic methods for a survey of timber structure. The first part of thesis describes wood structure and characteristics, the next part is about diagnostic methods followed by diagnostics of specific element of timber structures. The main aim of the thesis is to compare nondestructive, minor destructive and destructive methods for timber structures and their application in the practice.
The methodology of survey and diagnostic methods for the assessment of the state of timber structure
Kostečka, Jan ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on diagnostic of wood in the timber structures, The first chapter summarizes the wood matter, including its main characteristics, composition and construction. In the section on wood diagnostic methods, we have focused on the properties of wood, which influence these methods on the diagnostic methods themselves, their description, the necessary equipment and the resulting results. In the second, practical part are given the specific measured values, which were obtained by measuring on the selected wooden element and subsequent comparison and evaluation. The text is supplemented by illustrations, graphs and cuts.
Wood processing processes and problems of production technology of semi-finished products
Šimo, Samuel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the optimization of a new production line of the woodprocessing factory DCP Timber. In the first part, the work approaches wood in terms of itsinternal structure and its physical and mechanical properties. The second part is focused on themost common methods of cutting the wood material. The third part describes the technology ofconvection drying of wood and the impact of this drying on the resulting quality of woodensemi-finished products. The practical part of the thesis is the solution to the inefficientproduction of the machine of the circular saw, which is an important part of the production line. There is a comparison of different cutting tools and their effect on dimensional tolerances. Inthe next point, thanks to mathematical models, the parameters of maximum feed speed andpower of the electric motor of the spreading saw are determined. Finally, a technical andeconomic evaluation is developed where the payback period is calculated in the case ofinvestment in a power unit with higher performance.
Experimental Research in the Field of Glue Laminated Elements on the Basis of Climate Tolerant Deciduous Trees
Šuhajdová, Eva ; Straka,, Bohumil (referee) ; Kanocz,, Jan (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
This Doctoral thesis is focused on research of usability hardwood that is not used in structural engineering nowadays. Analysis of known hardwood properties and its verification by experiment was made. Mathematic analysis using the PROMETHEE method was used for most suitable hardwood species selection in the Central Europe conditions. The most suitable hardwood – beech – was subjected for further tests: finger-joint load bearing capacity experiment and beech homogenous and hybrid glulam experiment. The test results are compared with the values from professional literature.
The influence of the change of moisture content of timber on its physical-mechanical properties
Dziadková, Aneta ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis determines mechanical and physical properties of timber in different state of water absorption. Three sets of samples will be used to define their density, dimensional and volume swelling ratio, compressive strength and bending tensile strength. As an evaluation, properties obtained from testing will be graphically illustrated depending on moisture content.
The results of diagnostic methods for timber structures, depending on the wood moisture
Turek, František ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
Bachelor‘s thesis is focused on physical and mechanical features of wood by using nondestructive methods with a different moisture of timber structures and verifying the results with a practical testing. The purpose of the thesis is creation and evaluation all tests depending on timber moisture and strenght of material in graphical tables.
