Využití materiálů na bázi dřeva pro výrobu umělých CubeSat satelitů na nízké oběžné dráze

This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of wood and wood‑based materials in new potential industries such as space engineering, more specifically the production of panels for CubeSat satellites. Using a literature search, the historical and current use of wood and wood‑based materials in space engineering was summarized, while low Earth orbit, factors affecting low Earth orbit, wood, wood properties and wood‑based materials were described. The different acting factors in low orbit were compared with the properties of wood using sensitivity analysis. The resulting values of physical and mechanical properties were recalculated according to the described acting factors in low orbit. The resulting overstrains and applied thermal stresses were calculated using the relationships found. Based on the literature search, a suitable group of woods was selected, and the material index results were used to select suitable wood species. The suitable wood‑based material was selected using the observed criteria. From the results obtained, a potential panel composition of CubeSat satellite was proposed.
The use of wood-based materials in selected lessons of art education at the upper primary school (theoretical-project thesis)

This thesis is a theoretical and practical exploration of an art project titled: "The Use of Wood-based Materials". The project was conducted within the framework of art education at the second level of primary school. The theoretical section focuses on the technical and technological aspects of wood, and wooden materials. This knowledge is considered fundamental for working with any material in an artistic context. The practical component of the project involved an experimental workshop that served as a way to test the theoretical background and experiment with new or unusual artistic techniques of working with the given materials. The project was executed over a certain nine of lessons, and these lessons were conducted with pupils of the sixth grade at Mníšek pod Brdy primary school. The results of the pupils' work were documented and are included in this qualification work.
Pevnost lepeného spoje ve smyku materiálů na bázi dřeva v extrémních podmínkách

This thesis deals with the issue of adhesive joints under extreme conditions. The aim of this work is to determine influence of temperatures -30 °C, +23°C, +70 °C on maximal tensile strength of adhesive joint and to determine which adhesive has the best results when used on specific agglomerated materials. Manufactured samples (chipboard, chipboard press-veneered by spruce, fibreboard, beech plywood board) were used in process of solving the task. These samples were used in accordance with standard ČSN EN 205. Data were processed by software and evaluation was accomplished by using statistical methods. As a result of a detailed research the adhesives appropriate for use in extreme conditions on Earth were determined. Contribution of this work is clarification of the impact of exposure temperature, type of adhesive and interaction between temperature of exposure and type of adhesive. Based on obtained results appropriate type of adhesive for given temperature during maximal tensile stress can be recommended.

The thesis deals with the assessment of the possibilities of using wood in wood-based materials and products. Part of this thesis is a list of basic wood-based materials used in timber construction. Furthermore, assessment of possibility and explanation of wood modification principles. The thesis includes the design of functional element of the product and also experiment examining selected physical properties of the modified beech wood. The aim is to create a basic overview of trends in production, products and in the use of wood-based materials and possibilities of the use of beech wood for these products and materials.

This thesis describes the design of joists and decking made of wood or wood-based. In the work are proposals ceiling structures and their subsequent assessment. The work consists of several sections. Provides an overview of the materials for the use of load-bearing elements ceiling structures from wood materials and describes the methods of calculation and the procedure for the design of structures. Further work includes the sample examples of calculation and assessment of the dimensions of the beams for the proposed composition of the individual structures. The central part of the work of the Assembly is the resulting dimension tables beams and the necessary values to the supporting beams of the ceiling prior suggested on the basis of static calculations. For clarity, is one of the variants of the manually counted and documented as a model example.
Evaluation of selected properties of mineral fibers-based board, including the design of suitable purposes of its application

This thesis evaluates properties of board based on mineral fibers. In first part of the thesis is conducted analysis of the literature, where are described materials based on basalt fibers. Here is also explained production of basalt fiber and its practical applications. Sandwich materials and materials with great fire resistance based on wood are also looked into. Following part describes options of aplication of materials with great fire resistance and mechanical a physical properties of materials based on wood. Second part of the thesis lays out methodical approach to individual performed mechanical and physical tests. Characteristic of examined material is included. The last part deals with test results, comparing results with other selected materials, debating results and proposing possible applications of examined basalt board. With use of found data is evaluated suitability of the material for use for construction of sandwich panel.

This thesis describes the design of wooden buildings house, whose layout corresponds to the size requirements of the four/five person family. The main objective is the development of technical documentation for realization wooden building system frame construction. The work is divided into text and section drawings. In the text part, we focus on the structural system of wooden frame. Further to the proposal of the building envelope system diffusion open structure. For each construction envelope is made of heat-technical assessment. The work is completely processed and architectural layout wooden buildings. The last part is focused on determining the gross price of the house. Drawing section contains both drawings needed for building permits and manufacturing documentation for implementation of wooden buildings house.

Návrh fasádního obkladu ze dřeva a z materiálů na jeho bázi

The bachelor thesis deals with wooden facades and wall sidings of wood-based materials. Attention is given to facade division, their manners of structures, the possibility of using materials for the external shell, as well as to thermal insulation here. In the practical part will be designed two options of facade siding for a specific family house. The proposals include the structural system, the using materials and the price calculation. To the bachelor thesis is attached the drawing documentation with coloured facade plans.
