Risks and Measures at the Renovation of Vernacular Wooden Structures and Comparable New Buildings
Beníček, Tomáš ; Hunková,, Veronika (referee) ; Šebesta, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on structural progression of massive wooden structures, requirements to contemporary massive wooden structures, development of carpentry joints and connecting instruments used in constructions and reconstructions of these buildings, and analysis of risks connected with reconstructions of selected historical wooden structures. Another item of this thesis concerns on evaluation of possible risks in particular connecting instruments that are used in massive wooden structures per the FMEA method. The main content of thesis includes a description of selected historical wooden structures, options of their damages, forms of remediation and a description of possible risks and measures in reconstructions. In conclusion the thesis focuses on comparison of historical massive wooden structures and comparable new buildings.
Coworkingové centrum
Kirchhofová, Pavla
This diploma thesis goes about the layout of an administration building that is in-tended as a coworking centre or an area for shared cooperation. At the beginning in the literature review is found a brief description of coworking, introduction of wood as suitable material for establishing healthy interior environment of buildings and short display of various construction systems of solid timber buildings. In the applied section of the paper, there are worked up three solutions of cowork-ing centre. Their main differences are in the disposition, size and shape. Applied con-struction systems are the same in all three projects. One of the solutions is chosen as the most suitable and processed into the drawing documentation afterwards. Integral part of this section is the heat passage coefficient calculation and fabric appraisement of the chosen solution.
Realizace srubové stavby
Chlup, Tadeáš
This bachelor thesis is focused on making a documentation of building process of a log house. Beginning part of thesis includes specifications, descriptions of individual parts of construction, construction works and used materials. Next part closely describes sole construction stages. This part is divided into two main parts, structural works and internal construction and finishes. Detailed are matters of settlement of massive wooden structures. At the end of the thesis wood preservation and surface finishes are mentioned. The progress of construction works is amended with photodocumentation from constructed house. The thesis also contains working drawings and selected drawing details which are related to building quality and long-lasting construction.

Srubový dům z kulatiny
Sluka, Martin
The thesis focused on design of a log structure including design documentation and construction details drawings. In the first section, the thesis deals with classification of log buildings according to various criteria. The second part addresses specific details that influence the viability and functionality of the structure. In the last section, the thesis is focused on properties, maintenance and protection of log buildings. Part of the thesis addressing the thermal properties of log buildings. Various types of structural solutions will be assessed according to ČSN730540. The essential criteria for assessment are heat transfer coefficient and possible condensation of water vapor in the structure.
Izolační materiály používané v konstrukcích současných dřevostaveb
Presová, Natálie
The thesis focuses on the comparison of selected properties of thermal insulation materials most commonly used in present-day wooden structures. First, the thesis deals with the description of individual insulation materials, followed by the description of structural systems of present-day wooden structures, from frame structures to solid wood structures. Special attention is paid to outer wall systems of wooden structures and to the location of insulation: systems with interjacent thermal insulation, systems with outer insulation, and combined systems. Finally, thermal insulation materials are assessed on selected model walls regarding the heat transmission, heat accumulation, and ecological footprint. The conclusion includes the summarised results of the analysis.
