Zhodnocení reprodukčních vlastností u stáda starokladrubských klisen

The diploma thesis evaluates the reproductive characteristics of a herd of Old Kladruby mares from NH Kladruby nad Labem. The basic database contained a total of 47 mares, one of which was barren and 3 mares of non-Kladruby origin, so they were no longer evaluated. From all the obtained data, average values were determined, such as the physiological length of pregnancy - 337.74 days, the weight of the placenta - 6.12 kg and the average birth weight of foals - 69.12 kg. Furthermore, the percentage of uncomplicated parturitons and its stages was evaluated. For example, 36 mares underwent an opening phase without complications and the necessary assistance, which subsequently resulted in 91% of healthy-looking and expelled placentas. Also, the first suckling of foal colostrum after parturition took place without complications, when 44% of foals sucked within 1 hour and the rest in the following time period. Thanks to this, the departure of intestinal pitch was in 79% of the physiological norm. The effect of increasing foal weight on placental weight and a significant effect of mare age on the increase in foal birth weight were recorded. Reproduction and especially births of the basic herd of Old Kladruby mares in NH Kladruby nad Labem, despite common difficulties, take place without dramatic complications and are a reflection of good breeding work and veterinary care for the basic herd of mares.

Current iodine supply to livestock

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the current iodine supply of selected species and categories of farm animals based on it is content in milk. A total of 5 individual milk samples from cows from 5 farms and 5 pooled samples, 6 individual milk samples from goats from 2 farms and 1 milk sample from a mare were analyzed for iodine. The samples were collected in farms in the South Bohemian Region, Vysočina Region, Pardubice Region, Plzeň Region and Hradec Králové Region in 2023. Iodine in milk samples was determined using the Sandell-Kolthoff spectrophotometric method.

Exterior evaluation in relation to the performance of warmblood mared

This thesis deals with the relationship between the exterior and performance of three-year old warmblood mares. The impact of the exterior annd the performance of examined horses is evaluated. In the overall file of mares are monitored average values of the total marks for each character. The exterior of the overall sample rated the overall average mark 7,46 points, for an overall performance evaluation of a set of mares 7,33 points. The overall file of mares is selected for the busiest stallions, which are evaluated according to ferquency of the stallions. It was found that there wasn't significant difference between the 10 busiest mares stallions and mares for other stallions. Top scores were evaluated for the free jumping ( x = 7,798 points), willingness for work and character ( x = 7,750 points) and congenital abilities ( x = 7,725 points). The lowest marks were awarded for walk ( x = 7602 points), cavaletti (= 7,610 points) and trot ( x = 7,617 points).
