Mobile GIS in Mapping Land Use
Procházková, Anna ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
The purpose of this project is to evaluate the possibility of using mobile GIS in mapping land use. Also included is a technical description of the equipment for field mapping (Juno SC and GeoExplorer 2008 GeoXH) and software for collection, editing and updating data in the field (ArcPad and TerraSync). The field research of the current state of land use was carried out as a part of this work. The positional accuracy and availability of the GPS signal were compared with concrete examples of mapped landscape objects. Key words: mobile GIS, GPS, mapping land use
Population juniper (\kur{Juniperus communis}) in the selected area
KOUPAL, Vít
The paper maps the community of Common Juniper (Juniperus Communis) encountered at Konrac, a site included in the Česká Kanada Nature Preserve. The site itself, or rather the common juniper growing there, does not have the benefit of special legal protection; consequently, no targeted steps have been taken to maintain the juniper community intact in the Konrac landscape - still, the site allowed to monitor the natural development of the community in conditions typical of the current methods of farming. The locality is described to encompass four main types of habitats: stony islands amid meadows; unplowed strips of land around former small fields; peripheries of open stands; and peripheries of close stands. The acquired (and subsequently processed) data point to the conclusion that the habitat at the unplowed margins of fields suits the common juniper communities quite well, even without any human intervention in the farming practices beyond what is implemented on the site now.
Mapování historického krajinného pokryvu ŠLP Masarykův les Křtiny
Procházková, Andrea
This bachelor thesis deals with mapping of Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest and surrounding areas historical land cover by using geographic information system (GIS). Digitalized orthophoto from 1953 and the layer Landuse2011 were used for processing. It was necessary to create new layer Landuse1953 over the orthophoto map from 1953 to determine the changes between years 1953 and 2011. Layers Landuse1953 and Landuse2011 were integrated, changes of land usage were evaluated and analysed.
