Load-displacement behavior of ductile micropiles in cohesive soils
Stoklasová, Andrea ; Račanský, Václav (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creation of mobilization curves, based on data, obtained from standard and detailed monitoring of the load test. The load test was performed on the 9 meters long ductile micropile. The first part of the thesis explains the methods and principles, which was used to construct the mobilization curves. Next there is description of the technologies of ductile micropiles and the load test. In the next part of the thesis is generally explained process, which was applied to the evaluated data. For evaluation was used spreadsheet Microsoft Excel and programming language Matlab, with Kernel Smoothing extension. In the last chapter of the thesis there are interpreted the load transfer function together with skin friction and micropile displacement.
Back-analysis of instrumented load test of large-diameter bored pile using load-transfer method
Bírošík, Matej ; Koudela, Pavel (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is theoretical and consists of description of load-transfer method and its principal defined by (Reddy a ďaľší, 1998), where is explained calculating algorithm for predicting behaviour of loaded large-diameter bored piles. In the second part are all information about analysed instrumented load tests including measured values, which are interpreted by tables and graphs of load-transfer curves, load transfers in individual sections and shear friction values along the pile. This part also includes analyses of the influence of the pile axial stiffness uncertainty. The third part consists of parametric study. This study displays effects of different parameters on pile behaviour prediction during loading through load-transfer curves and load transfers in individual sections along the pile obtained from the programme developing at the Institute of Geotechnics, Faculty of Civil Engineering BUT in Brno, for large-diameter bored piles behaviour prediction. In the fourth part is evaluation and description of back-analysis of two instrumented load tests by already mentioned programme. The goal in the back-analysis was to reach the same parameters of load-transfer curves and load transfers in individual sections along the pile by surrounding soil parameters adjusting.
Determination of load-transfer functions for bored piles
Čechová, Simona ; Račanský, Václav (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The thesis is consisted of theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part was described nowadays commonly used method for analysis of single axially loaded replacement piles defined by Masopust (1994). There was also explained principle of load transfer method and was done analysis of mobilization curves, which are applied abroad, and finally were defined essential entry parameters for construction of selected load transfer curves. In practical part method by Masopust (1994) was transformed, limit shear stresses and tip resistances were calculated and values of deformation parameters for constructing cubic root curve and hyperbolic load transfer curve were deterined. In the last step both types of load transfer curves were constructed for shaft and pile tip of a replacement pile in different depths in fine-grained soil and in coarse-grained soil.
Application of the load-transfer method in determination of the micropiles load-displacement curve
Mareš, Matěj ; Havlíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about the use of load transfer method for micropiles design. Load tests of micropiles, GEWI system and Ischebeck TITAN system, bored mostly in neogene clays were evaluated. The obtained test results were subsequently utilized for inverse analysis of limit load curve and validation of recommended input parameters for the prediction of micropile behaviour using the load transfer method within the PMpLTO software. Lastly, a parametric study considering various micropile lengths was performed and evaluated.
