Accelerate handling strength in 2K PUR adhesives
Slatinská, Jana ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This paper is devoted to accelerating the time to obtain the handling strength of two-component polyurethane adhesive, which was newly purchased by the company Magna Exterios (Bohemia) and had to be tested. In order to speed up the analysis of the problem, methods of IR emitters and temperature chambers were selected to be compared with curing using only the ambient atmosphere. In the second part of this paper, the maximum strength of the bond which withstand the test without damage was measured. The results show that the method of accelerating curing process using an IR emitter is the fastest, but the economic side of things must be taken into account, because it is also the most expensive option of acceleration. The temperature chamber is almost twice as slower, but cheaper. At the end of the thesis, the economic efficiency of the new adhesive line solution is evaluated and how much money can be ideally saved.
A comparison of different types of epoxy adhesives
Mihulka, Jan ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a bonding technology. The first part describes the theory of the bonding and it is discussed the main areas of this technology. The experimental part deals with the comparison of four two-component epoxy adhesives in terms of shear strength. For the experiment it had been selected adhesives: Bison Epoxy Universal, Pattex Repair Epoxy Ultra Strong 5 min, Ergo 7430 and Letoxit LH 232. After performing the experiment, it was shown that Bison Epoxy Universal and Pattex Repair Epoxy Ultra Strong 5 min achieved the strengths stated in the datasheet. The strengths of Ergo 7430 and Letoxit LH 232 adhesives was lower than stated in their technological products, thefore, did not meet our expectations. The reason for not achieving the declared strength was probably poor dosing or insufficient mixing of ingredients.
Gluing of plaster casts
Zítková, Petra ; Ďoubal, Jakub ; Tišlová, Renata ; Kokstejnová, Aneta
The aim of the conservation procedure was to create a study which first focused on the evaluation of materials (traditionally used and modern) according to criteria corresponding to the requirements for contemporary conservation procedures. Based on the information and findings of the study, the procedure subsequently recommends the use of a suitable adhesive material and further presents several possibilities of solving the gluing procedures depending on the damage of the works representing the most frequently solved situations in the restoration of plaster casts. The methods and procedures are demonstrated on selected objects made of plaster from the collection of plaster casts by Stanislav Sucharda, where they were used and verified during their restoration.

Study of the unit load and formation equipment for a material handling
Kadlec, Tomáš ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The study is focused on handling and forming devices for material handling. The work includes the division and categorization of these devices, including an overview of the devices used in each category. It also deals with an overview of normative requirements with laws concerning storage and molding equipment. A tabular overview is created in the attachment. It is a study analysis that takes the form of an educational study background.
Rationalization of the production line
Straka, Jiří ; Štipčák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This masters thesis optimises production of the step plates (which are parts of the sliding steps systems used in tramways, subways, hi-speed trains etc.) to increase the production rate to meet customers demand. The purpose of the work was reached by detailed analysis of the production process followed by evaluation of the results which led to the list of the possible solutions. The solution with the greatest time improvement was chosen and explained in detail.
Bonding in the automotive industry
Krejčí, Adam ; Hanáčková, Pavla (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis presents a literature study of adhesive bonding technology. The work deals with the advantages and disadvantages of adhesive bonding, design of adhesive joints, technological processes of adhesive bonding and the division of adhesives. The thesis also discusses various materials used for the construction of car bodywork and their properties. The main focus of the work is on the use of adhesive bonding in the car industry, comparing traditional and modern technology used for the construction of bus bodywork. In the experimental part of the thesis, the aim is to reveal the influence of surface treatment on the resulting shear strength when employing metal to metal bonding.
Bonded hybrid joints in the automotive industry
Ševčík, Jan ; Hanáčková, Pavla (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with bonded hybrid joints which are used for connecting parts of modern coachwork. Firstly, the thesis describes in general the process of production of the whole coachwork, from cutting of the blanks to the surface treatment including the analysis of the used materials. Subsequently, the problem of joining body parts through adhesives, but also by welding, soldering or other methods is discussed. Another part of this thesis is dedicated to an experiment in which the qualities of bonded hybrid joints were determined. Different ways of realizing the joint have been made which differed in the size of the glued surface, in the welding methods and in the process of their creation. The produced joints were tested for their strength and quality.
Bonding of composite materials
Drkoš, Jan ; Molliková, Eva (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of the bonding of composite materials and the subsequent selection of adhesive for the specified glued joint consisting of two pieces of carbon composites. The thesis summarizes the theory of composite materials and then explains in more detail the theory of bonding together with the subsequent testing of glued joint. Another part of the thesis focuses on the market research in the field of available and suitable adhesives and the subsequent selection of the new adhesive for the glued joint, on which the epoxy adhesive was previously used. In this part, glued joints with two pre-selected adhesives were tested and then a conclusion was drawn for the selection of the most suitable adhesive.
Gluing as a method for flat roofs stabilization
Šafářová, Markéta ; Oláh,, Jozef (referee) ; Plachý,, Jan (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
Flat roofs are very desired type of building roofing these days. We can find flat roofs in construction of family and apartment houses, manufacturing and storage buildings, office buildings, shopping centres, etc. and not only in constructions of new building, but in substantial amount also during reconstruction. For every flat roof it is necessary to design a way of roof plies stabilization against wind suction. Gluing is one of many used methods of flat roof stabilization. The gluing itself can be implemented by innumerable adhesives of various compositions from many manufacturers. Gluing has advantages and disadvantages as every method. Lack of information can be considered as key disadvantage. Especially the lack of information about strength of gluing joints. The dissertation is focused on polyurethane adhesives, their application for stabilization of layers in flat roof and experimental determination of strength values of glued joints. The first phase of the dissertation aims to create a test methodology for experimental measurements. As a part of the methology to create a test model, a test apparatus and a procedure for experimental measurements. In next phase dissertation focuses on experimental measurements and their evaluation. Research was primarily focused on properties of gluing joint depending on the amount and type of the adhesive, material of bonding layers and technological indiscipline. The results of experimental measurement provide numerical values of strength of the gluing joints and pointed to risky situations which can occur during realization. The conclusion provides practical recommendations and possible opportunities for continuation of the work on this topic.
Sheets bonding and their testing
Straka, Jan ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design selected load tests for bonded joints at specified steel sheet DC01 under laboratory conditions and to compare the strength of the degreased joints with technical alcohol and uncrushed joints. The basic methods of joining thin sheets are presented in the thesis. The following is an overview of test methods for bonded sheets according to the relevant technical standards. The results of the selected tests are the specific numerical values that have been compared with those reported by the manufacturer of the particular adhesive.
