Study of durability of wood glue bonds against increased temperature
Kučera, Vít ; Vejpustek,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
In this time are for design of wooden elements available simplified procedures for fire modeling which defines ČSN EN 1991-1-2. But it is not experimentally tested the impact of adhesive on the final value of fire resistance of laminated panels. This diploma thesis solves basic normative practices that could explain the durability of glue bond against increased temperatures. in the practical part will be undertaken to experimentally assess the impact of various kinds of adhesive-based (epoxy, formaldehyde, PUR and EPI) on the glued bond durability against increased temperature. Glued joints that will be subjected to gradual temperature exposure in order to assemble the dependence of the temperature influence on the final strength of the joint according to the type of adhesive.
Heat resistance of wood bondlines
Šustáček, Jan ; Melichar, Tomáš (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on studying the impact of elevated temperatures on the resistance of bonded joints. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of exposure to temperatures on selected types of adhesives. In the theoretical part was made research and comparison of selected species agglomerated materials and described the issue of fire safety of buildings. To determine the strength characteristics of bonded joints at different temperatures have been made in the practical part load tests according to valid standards.
Utilization of accelerated durability test of wood glued joints for consequent service-life prediction
Šmíra, David ; Tupý, Michael (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis are methods which are able to describe durability aspects of glued wooden joints. The main objective are methods which primarily includes hygrothermal stress acting in the glued joint of wooden adherend and determine the service life of the specific glued joint by modelling based on Arrhenius relation and the other methods. Other part of this work is aimed to shear tests of the samples exposed to different thermal and humidity conditions and for individual sets of exposures determining the glue penetration depth into the wooden adherend by EPI fluorescent analysis. These analytic methods are used for quality check of the glued joints, which are mostly based on strength, chemical or structural parameters of the tested sample.
Vliv modifikace na pevnost lepení buku
Šmíd, Pavel
This diploma thesis is focused on the influence of thermal modification on the strength of bonded joint in tension according to ČSN EN 205. For the purpose of this work was used beech wood. The thermal modification of the test samples was performed at temperatures of 160 °C, 180 °C and 200 °C. The selected bond strength adhesives were melamine-urea formaldehyde adhesives (MUF), phenol-resorcinol formaldehyde adhesives (PRF) and one-component polyurethane adhesives (PUR). In addition to the thermal modification the effect of plasma modification on bond strength is also determined. The test lamellas were plasma treated (DCSBD) prior to gluing and pressing. The result is the determination of the tensile strength of the bonded joint in all the above-mentioned modifications and comparation of the results.
Posouzení pevnosti lepení vrstvených materiálů na bázi dřeva
Jacko, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis deals with adjudication of plywood glued joint using spruce veneer. The strength of glued joint was tested for dependence on pressing pressure or added veneer moisture. Plywood materials were subjected with two types of tests and physical (moisture, density) and mechanical (bend, glue strength, percentage infraction). After rating of bending properties values MOR, MOE are detected. Samples pressed with pressure of 0,8 and 1,2 MPa were used for the experiment. Detection of physical properties was done using three types of samples. Dry samples, wet samples after 24 hours of soaking and samples boiled for 6 hours and cooled for 1 hour.

Vývoj zkušebních metod pro testování pevnosti a trvanlivosti nábytku během jeho namáhání při dopravě
Hlavatý, Josef
The work focuses on the methods of testing the adhesive bonded joint, where the furniture in logistics operations stressed by the extreme temperatures in both the positive and negative direction. This factor has a major influence on the choice of appropriate adhesives that their resistance will correspond to the required properties. Research is extended to new methods of stress glued joints in conditions simulating stress in everyday practice transport logistics. Research is the starting point of the test materials, adhesives and furniture coverings which current manufacturing processes used. The methods are evaluated and designed mainly of mechanical properties and practical utility in the manufacture of furniture. At the same verification testing methodology is the basis for the implementation of these methods in the field of material testing in sections furniture testing and testing of adhesives and plastics. Their initial and explanatory description of the experimental part of the work.

Posouzení procesu delaminace lepených materiálů
Matušinec, Luděk
The thesis aims to explore the process of delamination on glued prism. It will be evaluated different types of wood (SM, DB) in combination with heat-treated wood (Thermowood TW). These materials will be exposed in an environment with high humidity. It will also be assessed shear strength test specimens, which will also be exposed to conditions of environment high humidity. Based on the measurement results will be evaluated different types of glue joints. They will vary in type and quantity of glue. The work is consisting of two parts. The first part deals with literature review on glueing of wood, thermal modification of wood and modern glued materials. The second part of the thesis is practical, which will be determined by the methodology of experiment and the subsequent testing. In this thesis will be displayed charts and graphs that will be evaluated at the end of work and commented for practical use in the company.
