This bachelor thesis deals with safety and risk analysis of machinery, specifically operated milling machine. It describes requirements of European Commission and Council, legislation of Czech Republic and current harmonized standards. In the next part of the bachelor's thesis is risk analysis of milling machine by ISO 12100:2011 standard. Ending of the thesis compares requirements implying from present standards for the milling machines and standard valid at the time of production of the machine
