KOUDELKOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis deals with the role of vegetation in the hydrological cycle in the landscape and the influence of inquiry-based instruction on the level of knowledge of this topic of ninth-graders. The first part of the thesis outlines the basic concepts of water in the landscape, the influence of vegetation cover on water retention in the landscape, the flow of water in the plant body, biotic pumps and related large and small water cycle. Furthermore, the basic knowledge of inquiry-based instruction, its influence on the teaching of science subjects and the inclusion of the topic in the RVP ZV are presented. The main goal of this thesis was to evaluate a questionnaire survey comparing the level of knowledge of students before and after inquiry-based instruction. Here we will find an overall evaluation of questionnaires, individual test questions, a comparison of the outdoor and indoor versions of the program, and an evaluation of individual schools. The conclusions drawn from the evaluation of the questionnaire survey confirm the positive impact of inquiry-based instruction on the level of knowledge of students in this topic.
