Zhodnocení samočistící schopnosti vodního toku Bítýška
Vítová, Kristýna
The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality and self-cleaning ability of the Bítýška watercourse in Vysočina. The theoretical part is devoted to the water management legislation of the Czech Republic, water quality including related problems, self-cleaning ability, wetlands and monitored water quality indicators. The next part characterizes the area of interest in terms of natural conditions and hydrology. The practical part describes in detail the collection of water samples, measurement of water quality indicators in the field and laboratory determination of chemical water analysis. The work concludes with an evaluation of the results obtained according to the relevant legislation and discussion. The results of laboratory analysis have demonstrated that the self-cleaning ability of watercourses was exhibited only for half of the monitored period and cannot be unequivocally confirmed. The findings revealed high concentrations of nitrate nitrogen, total phosphorus and chemical oxygen demand caused especially by draining under-cleaned water from root wastewater treatment plant into the watercourse.
Legal regulation of water quality protection
Osmiková, Kateřina ; Derlich, Stanislav (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
Legal regulation of water quality protection Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the legal regulation of groundwater and surface water quality protection. Its aim is to analyze the legal regulation of water quality protection, together with the evaluation of legal instruments and the proposal of particular changes that could potentially lead to intensify protection of this indispensable component of environment. The diploma thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with legal nature of waters, water management, acquiring ownership of water and the historical context of the emergence of legal norms regulating the area of water quality protection. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to the international legal regulation of this problematics. Chapter three deals separately with the legal regulations of the European Union, their creation, application and significance for national law. The fourth chapter of the thesis discusses legal instruments for water quality protection, their division and application. This chapter also deals with the legal responsibility for water protection. The last chapter of thesis is devoted to state administration aktivity and division of authority and competence of public authorities. It is primarily focused on the activities of water authorities and...
Monitoring of water quality in protected landscape area streams - Křivoklátsko
Kesnerová, Lucie ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Riesová, Martina (referee)
This thesis deals with monitoring of surface water quality in CHKO Křivoklátsko. The main purpose of monitoring is to obtain information about a state of flow and development during the previous period and to determine the pollution stage according to relevant standards. The theoretical part describes the basic information about the locality where they come from water samples and basic characteristics of sets of parameters. This section also includes theoretical assesment of sediment. The experimental part shows the practical determinates of each parameter, with the calculation of the quantities present and physical indicators. This section is followed by evaluation of measurement results, which are arranged in tables, including readings of all required parameters. The paper concludes an assessment of the monitoring of quality and compare the current state compared with the previous reporting period at each sampling point. Key words: chemical composition of water, water quality, sediments

The influence of number of visitors on water quality in a public natural swimming pool
Dragoun, Jan ; Vymazal, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáková Březinová, Tereza (referee)
Abstract The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the habitat, plants that provide clean water, as well as the revitalization of the area devoted to the description of the former wastewater treatment plant in the cadastral Radotín and the legislation subject to the available sources. The practical part describes the operation of the habitat, comparing the number of visitors to the habitat quality of water. In this thesis we evaluate the results of laboratory tests which were evaluated by decree limits no. 238/2011 Sb., on the hygienic requirements for swimming pools, saunas and hygiene limits of sand in sandboxes outdoor playgrounds.
