TOWN HOUSE IN A COMPACT CITY, OLD BRNO
Adamcová, Kateřina ; Todorov, Petr (referee) ; Kiszka, Josef (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor‘s thesis is the design of a town house in the locality of Old Brno. The work builds on a previous urban study, which addressed the issue of the future of the assigned locality. The design of the building reflects the current requirements for family living, housing for singles and a co-housing form of housing. At the same time, it opens up to the public with semi-public and public spaces and connects to surrounding areas of various kinds. It creates a new cultural point of the locality on the street corner and the inner part of the newly designed monoblock is left to the public greenery. Following this fact, a non-traditional form of house communication is chosen, the outdoor gallery corridor, which opens into a green courtyard. The result of the design is, on the one hand, a modern town house with a functional ground floor and, on the other hand, an apartment building with residential balconies.
