Light Induced Degradation of Solar Cells
Indra, Jiří ; Solčanský, Marek (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with light induced degradation problems. In theoretical section it describes essentials of PN junction function and next light induced degradation mechanisms of solar cells and its symptoms at solar cell operation. In practical section it deals with set of measurements of solar cells since production of the silicon wafer to the complete solar cell. Selected cells are submitted to light induced degradation, measured dependencies are then evaluated. Degraded samples are subsequently recovered by two ways at high temperature treatment. The issues are evaluated.
Influence of magnetic field on photovoltaic solar cell
Kadlec, Michal ; Šubarda, Jiří (referee) ; Šimonová, Lucie (advisor)
This thesis describes the issue of PN junction of photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic effect physics, basic materials used in photovoltaic and their properties, important for the area of photovoltaic. It deals with the problems of magnetism focused on electromagnetic fields. Experimental facility for measuring the influence of magnetic field on the solar cells through the Helmholtz coils was constructed. This work also dealing with the influence of magnetic radiation on photovoltaic cells and the influence of electromagnetic waves on the volt-ampere characteristics of the photovoltaic cell.
Solar cells photoluminescence defect detection methods
Vala, Zbyněk ; Veselý, Aleš (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis discusses modern methods for fast defect detection of solar cells. For the means of the defect classification, the technological production process of crystalline silicon solar cells is described. The defects are researched by the electroluminescence and prohtoluminescence methods. The Photoluminiscence method is improved by the posibility of using different wavelenght of excitacion sources. The range of using in industrial production is determined for the discussed methods.
