Folklore ensemble Doudlebánek in the years 1982 -2022

This final work is devoted to efforts to restore and maintain folk traditions and customs in the village Doudleby. The work consists of four consecutive chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the establishment of the village and its history. The second captures attempts to restore traditions and customs typical of this village. The third is dedicated to one of the oldest folklore ensembles, the Doudleban National Ensemble. The fourth chapter records the children's ensemble Doudlebánek, which is the future for the preservation of folk customs and traditions.
The ensemble Blatenští dudáci ZUŠ Blatná

The history and present of an ensemble which is called Blatenští dudáci ZUŠ Blatná is the main topic of this bachelor´s thesis. The first part is focused on the history and the development of backpipes and bagpipe music in South Bohemia. Further, the thesis deals with the history of music school in Blatná, the formation of an ensemble, the transformation of the ensemble in the course of time, character of the performances, foreign tours, folk costumes and the repertoire. The ensemble was formed in 1987 on the initiative of Josef Škanta the director of primary art school. The current activities of Jana Janovská and Martin Škanta, the two most important members of the ensemble, are mentioned in individual portraits. Martin Škanta concentrates on adapting folklore for bagpipe ensemble in traditional style, as well as on enriching the bagpipe repertoire with new compositions and adjustment of current popular songs in modern style.
Traditions of the Baráčník Club in Soběslav

The main target of this diploma thesis is to describe the association Baráčnická obec Vitoraz Soběslav and compare them with other similar associations mainly in sub region Blata. It is done in the context of complete socio-historical situation. The first part deals with movement of associations in the end of 19 and the beginning of 20. century and with the establishment of association "baráčníci" mainly in South Bohemia. The second part describes the association of "baráčníci" in detail in term of their symbolism. Then follows a brief characteristic of the sub region Blata. Next part focuses on activities of "baráčníci" particularly in this area. Attention is given to Soběslavská chasa mladá as potential successors of the association Baráčnická obec Vitoráz Soběslav. The conclusion. summarizes the acquired knowledge and outlines options following development in future.
