FALTOVÁ, Lucie
Volunteerism of unemployed in public utility services in the Czech Republic Key words: volunteerism, volunteer, volunteering, programme co-ordinator, unemployment, unemployed, unemployment rate The objective of my diploma work is to describe and to analyse the volunteerism of unemployed people in public utility services in the Czech Republic. Particularly I describe the realization of the volunteering programme for unemployed in the town Tábor. In order to understand what is the main objective of this project and what profit can such a project bring to the unemployed, I had to mention in the theoretical part what is the main idea of volunteerism itself with a short description of its historical backgrounds and the basic legislative frame of the work with unemployed people. The chapter applied to the problematic of unemployment, target groups, which are the major subject of the unemployment and the problematic of negative effects of the unemployment can help us to reveal motives and expectations of unemployed people by the volunteerism. The volunteering programme enables to the unemployed to use meaningfully their time during which they are recorded at the unemployment office. By means of the volunteering service they gain new experiences and skills which they could use and apply in their new job. The volunteerism helps to the restoration of working and social habits of unemployed and helps to the prevention of the social separation.
