Diploma thesis is focused on price comparison of organic and conventional foods in the South Region in specialized stores. The theoretical part is focused on defining the concept of organic farming and organic food. The empirical part is focused on the evaluation of the results of the price survey.

Goal of this bachelors thesis is a comparison of quality between organic and conventional agricultural production. Thesis starts with definitions of conventional and organic agriculture, characteristic of basic terms as organic product and organic food. Next part is followed by methods of monitoring and certification of organic food. Quality of organic products is analyzed from sensory, nutrition, technological and hygienic perspective. End of thesis is focused on studies comparing quality of organic and conventional agriculture products. Obtained results shows not real benefits of organic products in comparison to conventional agriculture production in health or nutritional aspect.
