Analysis of denoising effect on difusion weighted MR images
Coufal, Petr ; Kudlička, Petr (referee) ; Vojtíšek, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and analysis of image quality based on denoising usage. Particularly, this thesis focuses on diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), which is a technique used for diffusion visualization in human tissue. At the beginning, there is a summary of the MRI principle and overview of important concepts. Following there is an introduction to DWI with emphasis on denoising, artifact correction and quality control based on chosen parameters. Lastly, in theoretical part of this thesis, there is an overview of state-of-the-art software tools for DW image processing and denoising. In experimental part of this thesis the DW data were measured on a group of volunteers, followed by image processing and analysis of effect of denoising on image quality.
