This bachelor thesis is focused on the maintenance of roads in the communal area. The literature section describes what communal areas are and summarizes the basic procedures of summer and winter maintenance. This thesis is also focused on technical means for these activities and to lesser extent also on repairs of roads, paths, and sidewalks.The intensity of summer and winter maintenance in the locality of Tři Studně is evaluated in the elaboration. For a more detailed overview, the cadastral map divides the area into roads, sidewalks, parking lots, built-up area, and other green areas, where the related area is defined. This complexity is compared both in terms of time and money, with regards to manual and mechanical processing. However, this part of the thesis does not take into account winter maintenance in the overall range, because it is not possible to precisely determine the frequency of this maintenance according to climatic conditions. The result is a comparison of these operations in summer and winter.
