Škardová, Pavlína
The present work evaluates the collection of selected varieties and species of phenotypes Cydonia oblonga Mill, in the climatic and soil conditions of the foothills of Nízký Jeseník Mountains. The collection consisted of: 'Blanár'; 'BO-3'; 'Brna'; 'Buchlovice'; 'Hruškovitá'; 'Champion'; 'Ironda'; 'Izobilnaja'; 'Jurák'; 'Kocurova'; 'Leskovačka'; 'Mir'; 'Morava'; 'Muškátová'; 'Otličnica'; 'Pinter'; 'Selena'; 'Triumph'; 'Úspěch' and 'Vranja', planted in the Paseka municipality. The growth characteristics were monitored as were production quality, pollen germination, starting of selected phenological phases and the sensory features of raw fruit and jam were assessed. The temperatures and precipitation values of the chosen planting location were discovered to be close to the climatic values of Žabčice area. Considering the growth characteristics for the selected plantation area it appears the most suitable phenotypes are 'Brna' and cultivar 'Vranja'. Because of the possibility of late spring frosts, more suitable varieties for growing would be 'Champion'; 'Jurák' and 'Kocurova'. Due to the early termination of the vegetation the varieties 'Champion', 'Ironda', 'Leskovačka' and 'Muškátová' and phenotype' BO- 3' could also be recommended. In the assessed collection of sensory score, the best value was acheived by the variety 'Otličnica'. Other observed characteristics showed considerable variability. Under the climatic conditions, the successful cultivation of quince in the foothills of the Nízký Jeseník Mountains seems possible and in the future, quince could become a commercially exploited commodity in this area.

This thesis is focused on the occurrence of pathogens on the school farm Žabčice. Pathogens have been evaluated with quince varieties 'Champion', 'Ironda' and 'Hruškovitá'. This mainly involved evaluation of the bacteria Erwinia amylovora and Monilia ssp. Based on the results was done by comparison with the previous thesis and it was concluded. For raspberry incidence is assessed fungus Botrytis cinerea, where due to weather conditions prevent the massive expansion of the next fruit. We found there was probably also a raspberry ringspot virosis, which was intended only as a symptom based on these symptoms was determined by Atlas. At the last review, dogwood is due to weather conditions and high temperatures in 2015 appeared curling sheets. At the end of the vegetation was reflected leaf spot, which however didn´t affect the coming harvest.

Rózsová, Ivana
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to lesser cultivated fruit species (Crataegus laevigata (Poir. in Lam.) DC, Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge, Cydonia oblonga Mill., Mespilus germanica L. a Sorbus domestica L.), their specification from a taxonomic and morphological point of view, and deals with options of growing these species on area of Czech Republic. It also describes some possibilities of processing the fruit (processing of medlar was only described theoretically) and compares the success of each product in sensory evaluation. It was proven that these species are suitable for industrial and home utilization. They should serve as an enlargement of a market assortment.

Malfunctions, lesions and diseases on uncommon fruit trees was observed in the ŠZP Žabčice from April to October 2013. As the most important bacterial disease has been detected fire blight of the quince. Several sea-buckthorns died from multifactorial causes. There was incidence of powdery mildew and brown leaf spot on the Amelanchier, varieties of the A. alnifolia were more affected by leaf spot, while the varieties of the A. lamarckii had a significantly higher incidence of powdery mildew. On the rowan there was recorded scab and viral infection on the few trees. The minimum symptoms of diseases occurred on the dogwood, mulberry and rose. No symptoms of diseases were observed on medlar, but it was affected by chlorosis. Principles for the protection is correct agrotechnik and regular removal of infected and damaged parts of the trees. Chemical protection is needed for a quince and a juneberry. Keywords: dogwood, rowan, quince, medlar, mulberry, juneberry (Amelanchier), sea-buckthorn, Rosa villosa, fire blight, powdery mildew.
